@jimmyb14512 жыл бұрын
Dominate? Bro, first two races he was consistently losing time on corners because he was setting up to apex too early and not throttling through the corner. Don't get me wrong, Cleetus is talented, but dominate is a bit of a stretch. The third race he was doing a LOT better, probably because he had open road in front of him or perhaps the looser set up forced or helped him to set up for later cornering... who knows.

@@jimmyb1451 Dude jumps in a series with seasoned pros, runs at the front for most of the race. And the first race, (not in this video, prior video) he was in first until the last corner. Jumps in a jet boat competition and crashes out but still posts the fastest time of the day. "Dominate" is relative here, but if youre jumping into a competition full of pros and even being competitive, its quite impressive. We're arguing semantics here. Point of the matter is, very few people can just jump into a race with seasoned pros and run up front.

sucks about the truck, but I love how Cleetus is reaching for the kill switch while sliding mid-wreck. This was clearly caused by the oil down. VP trucks tail got loose on oil and sent him straight into Fun Haver, the rest was just chain reaction. I think the sport is making a great publicity move by bringing Cleetus in and getting him to the front of the pack early. The exposure that he brings can revive just about any sport, especially with live action like this.

It's not open wheel racing but yeah, when the tin foil peels back from the "body" around the tires, those big 37's have so much momentum that they are gonna climb whatever is near. You can see the momentum from those tires give the final push over and on the side. It reminded me of an old school gyroscope.. spinning then suddenly tossed on its side.. just in a matter of seconds in that tight, oiled down corner.

The time constraints seems to be the real issue here. Being such a long track, with cameras at every corner. Certainly someone mentioned the oil in that corner before the wreck. It wasn't until Cleetus mentioned it during the red flag that they put speedy dry down to clean it up. If you watched the stream, the very next lap that they come through the same corner, you can see all of the speedy dry being kicked up into the air. I don't blame the drivers at all, being aggressive is part of racing. This was mistake made by track officials(if they have those) by not cleaning it up sooner. Tough break, but I hope you reach your goal of finishing your first at Bristol and can't wait to see the live action!
