My first MARKET DAY VLOG - market set up , what sold , what didn’t & what I WONT be brining back!!

Hello! Congratulations on your markets, but more importantly congratulations on putting yourself out there despite the depression and social anxiety. It’s scary and hard, mentally and emotionally exhausting and at the end of the day I hope you were proud of yourself. I like that your wife did recon at the market lol, and I know it’s the natural response to immediately think “other crocheters are my competition” I absolutely had that same thought at my markets, but the more I do the more I see that we are all unique and offer the customer a different experience. I know as a customer I would want a variety of options choosing jewelry or candles, so I try to use that mindset when there are other crocheters at the same market as me. Your booth looked very unique, I’m sure you stood out against the other booths there. Good luck with your future events!

Yes with having depression and social anxiety these things like “markets” very hard but I am proud of myself for jumping out of my comfort zone and now it doesn’t seem so scary !! And yes lol she’s here for moral support (she did leave me for like 20 minutes and I FREAKED OUT) 😂 but I did it !! Also you definitely did give me a different look on having other crocheters at the events because I didn’t think of it that way !! I would want to see different varieties too !! Your stuff is amazing! I love your little plushies because I watch another channel and hers have weird eyes. Yours are adorbs! I would love to do markets but I'm not sure, which is why I'm watching the videos, to learn from all of you! Right now I only sell on Etsy so it would be amazing to get out and meet people but I'm not very good with crowds so it is something I hesitate to do, although I finally found resources on Facebook where I can find markets in my local area and get a foot in the door. I just have to figure out if my foot would rather stay on the welcome mat or actually take that first step. And videos like yours are a wonderful resource, so thank you! Congrats on your success! And my only critique of your video is that your sound was all over the place but mostly it was way quiet! But everything was so amazing and if I ever thought of doing a market I would certainly take some tips from your experience. Oh, and from watching another person's market videos can I just say that maybe the event person wasn't being deceptive when she said you were the only one selling crochet plushies and stuff because from what I've seen, sometimes the people signing up for space may not be as transparent as they could be. Like maybe the blanket lady only said she was bringing blankets but maybe she brought other stuff. Or I've even seen a video where one person signed up for a space and then co-opted it to a different person that was selling crochet. So don't let that give you a negative outlook because it could have been an honest mistake. Good luck!! I'm going to subscribe to your channel because your market video was awesome!

Aww thank you !! And yess dooo a market , for me it was definitely out of my comfort zone but I’m happy I did it at the end for the experience!! I only sell my patterns on Etsy currently, I’m thinking about selling my physical items on Etsy too because it has the customer base!! Also I am sooo sorry for the audio!! I’m really not sure why it kept doing that , I realized it when I was editing the video !! But thank you so much for watching and subscribing to my channel, it really means a lot !! I hope to keep making more market videos and share my experiences. 💗

Aww thank you !! And I couldn’t help myself !! I had to make more than one hat !! And I will be making lots more this summer for my friends 🥺 also for selling at the markets I just had to apply on their website and I had to get approved , they didn’t require any permits or anything big just a fee !! I hope this helps !! I have my very first HUGE 2-Day market coming up in August that I had to do lots of work to apply for , I just had to provide a picture of my booth and what I plan on brining !!

Those crazy lil frogs were my favorite 🤷🏼 don't know why, but they're darn cute! I also like your bucket hats. You should wear one while you're at market... You did good! And really, every vendor is your competition. People got to a matket with $20, $50, $100 in their pocket. They're going to buy whatever catches their eye. Some crochet, some jewelry, some art, ornaments, snacks... But they only have so much money to spend. So every vendor hopes to get some of that. Every vendor is competition. Good job! Really happy for your success and experience!

Thank you !!! And aww thank you , I really struggled at first with all the placement !! I’m hoping with my next one I will have more tables and a lot more of the same plushies !! Like more chickens , bees , and I’m working on some loaf cats ☺️☺️
