I love your energy, Katie! You radiate great positivity. You're awesome for that. I'm stuck on wether moving to Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, or Houston. Been to ATX several times, but I'd have to be there for longer to actually get more of a feel of the city. Fully immerse myself. Great video! It was helpful! So many people moving to the city! Exciting!

ALSO, forgot to mention just incase you aren't already onto it! Follow "whenwherewhataustin" on IG. Such a resourceful page! Must follow if you're in Austin. I think you'll love. I'd share it to you as you provided your IG handle but I don't wanna be weird lol.

@@allygarska Thank you so much! It can definitely be so hard to choose because they're all great cities😊 And that account is so cool. I just followed them!

Houston and Dallas are much bigger cities. Fort Worth is a smaller funkier town like Austin. But again a totally different vibe from Austin. Also DFW in North Texas gets cooler in "cold" months.

love love love this! first of all congrats on your first month in Austin! you seem so happy 🤗 love the comparison between the two cities! this was definitely helpful! eventually when i settle down I do want to move down south (idk how down south) so hearing the comparison is great! maybe in an upcoming video you can make a video about how to make new friends when you move? i know you touched upon it with having your dog, you also are from there, but i guess knowing some basic tips for just moving somewhere where you know no one at all!

I'm definitely loving it😊 and that's so exciting! Maybe one day you'll come down to Texas🤠 Also, I love that idea! It can definitely be tough making friends in a new place, so I think that could be really helpful💗 Thank you so much!!

I agree with all of these points. Although being from Louisiana, the heat really doesn't faze me.

I'm glad you agree😊 And that makes sense!

in Boston there's hiking trails and nature all around the city as well. Charles river reservation, blue hill, Middlesex fells, wilson mountain reservation ect. these are all 30 minutes out of the city. the city of Boston itself isn't even that big compared to Austin and it only takes 30 minutes to leave the actual city.

Hello welcome to Austin! I am in the South Austin. Register your car as soon as you can cause after 30 days they like to tack a $250 late fee for new residents lol....I got hit at the 3 month mark sadly Feb 2016. Try Torchy's Tacos!
@KatieReny3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Wow, that's terrible I'm so sorry that happened! And I love Torchy's😊

@@KatieReny haha 😆 well it was my own fault for not reading my own Homestate’s new resident info lol, which is only a 30 day window for registering a new resident vehicle before the fees happen. I was born and raised in SE Texas and left at 18 to join the Navy. So I didn’t have a car to worry about at that point in life. Moved home from San Diego in November 2015...and waited 3 months before I changed my plates over 😂. Anyways Torchy’s have some of the best tacos in Austin 😋.

@@HopeBromley I can’t believe KZbin allows such blatant taco misinformation. All experts agree, Tacodeli is superior.

@@TRAZ4004 depends on keeping an open mind and the type of taco 🌮.
