That audi 3.2 engine is a VR6 for sure though they do also have a 3.2 V6 for longitudinal applications! Sick beetle man!

Can confirm, I have an 8p with the 3.2 vr6 motor in it.

Yes but essentially a VR6 is a staggered V6 engine with less of an angle but technically it's still V6.
