Your opponent was so constistent. Always in the right corner, always bringig the balls back very deep, also when under a lot of pressure. Great that this didn't frustrate you too much (at least it looked this way), which is such an important factor in this sport. Good luck from Switzerland

Omg Michalis is the kind of player that would just hit balls all day and rarely miss, with a very good defensive game. You do really have to be the aggressor but also not push too much and then miss yourself! You did great Felix, well done for digging deep and seeing out the match! 😄👏

Hey Felix! I followed your score in the ITF webpage and I was so happy when I saw you won. Just a piece of advice, maybe you could implement the drop shot in your game when you play on clay. It is a really useful shot on this surface and it will help you to reduce the length of the rallies. Best of luck in your next tournament from Spain!
@awateilrahc2 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t agree more. Needed to vary the length a lot more in the match which is why I think serving and volleying was working alot as his passes were not super scary (nothing terrible of course from him) but test his own volleys out as well

I’m really loving these videos and it’s great that you made the transition to the ITF tour which offers live scores,live streaming and better opportunities to follow your journey in general. If you had said that you were coming to Meerbusch I might have gone there this Sunday, but during weekdays there’s to much stuff at uni to do. Thought you played really well against Haerteis, you were the better player form the baseline for most of the match which is a great encouraging sign, seemed like you got a bit tired towards the end after a tough physical three set battle on a tough surface like clay. Exited to see what’s next, but I think getting your first point in 2022 is a very realistic and achievable goal for you!

The ATP Tour should really encourage this type of personal documentation and even reward it. The issue tennis has is it's a 1 person sport. You could cheer for Manchester United 100 years ago, and I imagine, 100 years into the future, Manchester United will still be around with fans. However, with tennis, even 30 years ago no one was a Federer fan, and there will be a LOT less of them 30 years into the future, even if he had a long, successful career (so far). Having this documentation is incredible as it allows we, the fans, to really "vibe" with the players through whatever they want to share. Could be good, bad, encouraging, tennis tips, etc.
