Amazing video Giacomo, really enjoyed it and thank you for sharing your experience with us! Wanted to ask, since I'm interested in buying an 890 Adventure R, how is it on the highway? Towards the end of the video you mention you have to drive back to Austria so I assume you can give us some feedback on that type of road. Not going to ask how it is off-road since that is obvious from the video 😜

Hello! Thank you so much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the video. Regarding the highway topic: speed wise is still great (it doesn’t have issues above 140km/h and the lower tank help to keep the front wheel stable. However, it’s very loud and windy. I got used to it now and wear hearplugs especially if I have to ride more than 4hours on the highway. It’s not a big deal to me now, but some riders might suffer that wind. HOWEVER, always think there are worst bikes to ride out there 🤭

@@JRidesTheWorld Thanks for the info! I suspected wind will be an issue, but like you said it could be worse. I think this can be avoided with earplugs and maybe even an additional wind spoiler. And with the seat did you feel comfortable enough? This is not highway specific but generally related to sitting on it for multiple hours.

Grazie 🙏. Le E09 sono andate benissimo, era la prima volta che le provavo. Quando ho rimesso le E07 si sente una differenza incredibile in OFF. Consigliate. Le ho riprese ora per il Transitalia marathon

great video! are you experienced in rally riding? what bike did you have before? I'm rather inexperienced and planning to do a rally. Curious how much experience you need.

Hello Jeroen I would not say i'm an experienced rally rider. I did 3x similar events before, and rode off road occasionally in the past. All of these events are made for everyone usually, including non experienced riders. The organisers provides you with different GPX tracks ( easy/hard) so you can enjoy the event fully. I do suggest you ride couple of times offroad ( even only gravel) before doing one of these. Especially if you have a big/heavy adventure motorcycle.

@@JRidesTheWorld Thanks man!! I just completed a 2 week trip on a Royal Enfield through Nepal and even 'road' is off road there. Gravel, hill climbs with rocks, mud, everything. So judging from your comment, that should be an ok preparation. Good to know the organization suits all kinds of riders. Thanks!
