My first ride with Peter Lynn Nova v1 8 m2 in light wind conditions

My first ride with the Peter Lynn Nova V1. Very nice kite. Only 8 m2 but powerful even when the wind dropped down below 8 kts I was still able to kite my Onda. Very stable and fast turning. Easy water relaunch with back lines. I'm really impresed by this kite. Didn't expect that lot of fun. PLKB Nova V1 is really good alternative to Flysurfer Soul and Ozone Hyperlink. During this session I forgot to close my GoPro and after first 20 minutes my cam was destroied by water :-( My secound one cam.

Do you think you could twintip with a 12m Nova with 10kts? iam wondering because i have flown the 10m Nova from a friend with 10 kts with a big board(door) but it did not work. Also i see that you relaunch the kite with pulling the steering lines is that the best way to do it? Thanks in advance for your reply. Greetz Jethro

Hows the power compared to a lei? What would you say for example is a 10m nova comparable to in a lei? Reason I ask is because I went a head and ordered a nova 10m and am wondering how it will suit as it will be my only kite until someone gives up a used phantom v2 or charger v2 or 3 (I really really want a large modernish arc kite!)

Cezary Augustynowicz Can you please advice, soul 10 or 12 is better for snow? I would like some air time and maybe later try it on water, but mainly land and snow. I am 70kg, woman, EU - slovakia :) just beginning with this crazy amazing sport :) Can you please tell your opinion is better choice soul /chrono / hyperlink or nova? I would like to buy my first kite and I am really lost. And the sizes, omg what size

I suggest to choose the Hyperlink v2 from this kites. Hope it helps you a little. Have a lot of fun with your new sport!

Hello, could you let us know the rider weight and if you would be able to use twintip in less than 8 knots wind conditions please? (in that case which would be the right kite for twintip and 6 knots wind?)

My weight is with all equipment and wetsuit about 90kg. I'm sure for TT you need 19 m2 or more if you want kite in 8 kts if even possible. Maybe TT Board like the 166 x 55cm Door could work with 8kts. 6 kts and TT isn't possible in my opinion.

Hi, to zależy również od wielkości deski. Wielkość deski jest ważniejsza od wielkości kite. Jak będziesz miał deskę w rodzaju 145x46 to powinieneś dać radę od równych 10 węzłów. Nie będzie szału ale w tą i z powrotem będziesz pływał.

@@buenacloud Pięknie dziękuję za odpowiedź. Rozkminiam temat siedząc w Soma Bay, bo mi szkoda każdego dnia a wieje tu od 3 dni ok 10-12 knt, więc nie pływam. Te same przemyślenia i na Półwyspie, żeby zejść o te 3-4 knt, bo gwarancja zabawy wzrasta 😀

@@sawekosinski6389 przy tym PL Nova musisz odpowiednio trzymać bar w czasie startu. Max power jest przy niedomkniętym barze. Mniej więcej na połowie drogi. Jak go za mocno zaciągniesz to kite wchodzi w backstall i traci moc.

@@sawekosinski6389 Idziesz w bardzo dobrą stronę jednak zastanowiłbym się w Twoim wypadku nad Ozone Hyperlink v2 13m. Jest bardziej podobny w sterowaniu jak tube kite i jest też łatwiejszy od PL Nova. Nova też jest super kite-em ale potrzebuje trochę innych skills'ów. Tak, czy siak najlepszym kierunkiem będzie przesiadka z twintipa na foila. :) Wtedy można już latać od 5kts i latanie na foilu jest jeszcze bardziej przyjemne jak na twintipie.

nice video man! what do you think, Nova or Flysurfer? I'm planning to buy one of them but I'm more for flysurfer.. moreover I can see you are using the cabrinha bar, I have the same bar, now I feel more confortable to dont get the flysurfer bar. Please share your thoughts. thanks

I have now Flysurfer soul 8 for 10 months and Nova 8 for 3 weeks and I would go for Nova. Both kites are excellent but I think Nova is better for freestyle kitefoiling. Nova turns faster and is in my opinion better for water relaunch. I dropped Nova many times to the water and never had an issue. With Flysurfer Soul I had few times swim back to the beach. Also bridle are by Nova more clearer sorted. The decision is not that easy. But as I said above. After 10 months Flysurfer Soul 15 & 8 I have now Ozone Hyperlink V2 13 and since 3 weeks Nova 8.

hi, that's true but one thing. I think that the Soul and Hyperlink material is a little better then Nova's. In my opinion after the time I think also that Soul and Hyeprlink doesn't soak up water so quickly as the Nova. Maybe the new Nova UL is the same quality than Soul and HL. But then the price looks the same. So if you compare absolutely new kites than it does not matter but after the time you will feel the difference between Nova and Soul or HL. For example you can fly Soul for approx. 2,500 hours and Nova only a fraction of that. Hope that helps you a little more.

@@buenacloud Graite video as always! You are so experienced what would say comparing the 27 gr per sq sm in Ultra light Nova with 25 gr per sq sm in Kauper XT Falcon or 32 gr per sq sm in Soul? What about possible longevity? And have you ever tried Ocean Rodeo Aluula Roam or Flite kite ? What do you think about it comparing with sift kite for hydrofoiling?
