It's about time! Familiar course, completely new bag. I can't believe this is actually my very first round of this new chapter. I've been waiting for this moment a couple of months now and I thought I found a clearing in the miserable weather... 😂 I really feel like this is going to be an amazing year!

I am so excited to see what Simon can do with an Envy. I've leaned on it (hard) since the first run. And now I bag two. :) I have always disagreed strongly with Brad and Chad about having a different brand for the rim-colours-other-than-black. But I only sell the discs, not make them. And let me be clear: I love Gyro! MVP are the only disc golf company to start life as expert and experienced over-moulders who learned about disc golf rather than disc golfers who had to learn to injection mould. This means their discs are the highest quality in the industry, bar none. In fact they're so good they can mould a disc twice and still sell it profitably for the same price as the one-moulders!

Love the honesty and sometimes awkwardness of trying new discs. Can't wait to see you on tour! Also, if you're taking disc suggestions, try out the Axiom Instanity. It's a slightly understable to stable disc, flies really straight and is a 9 speed.

can he throw axiom? I bag insanity in fission (stupid light/flippy), plasma (heavy and replaced my tesla) and one in Eclipse ( a flatter version of the fireball and volt I toss). I do loves me some insanity, but man do they differ by plastic type!

Both Paul and JC won the Worlds the next year they changed a bag and there has been many other fast transitions before Simon. He will progress a lot in couple of months and before tour begins. Just needs to get his signature distance driver soon. I have not heard that he will get one, but I am sure he will. Tournament practise rounds are another thing. He knows the courses but for years he has known what discs to throw and when, but now he needs to learn the courses again. I think that will be a bigger challenge than getting to know the discs.

The difference in how pros comment on disc flights vs. amateurs is eye-opening! Amateurs will say "omg that disc is too flippy" and Simon is out here saying "oh maybe I threw it too hard" or "I think I threw it too flat". Such a small difference in mentality results in a MASSIVE difference in outlook and result. Wow.

It's crazy to see you have a similar problem with Anodes that I have, I thought it was just me. Anodes have this weird floaty fade to them almost like a surfer riding a big wave. Only way I solved it for me was use anodes as a straight direct spin put, and not try to float it in. Though, Im just an amateur so its probably form/inexperience also. I ended up switching to Pilots and then Nomads. Electron Proxys work great for me for putting too.

Definitely recommend trying out cosmic neutron for anything that feels a touch understable for you. My cosmic neutron Crave and Volt have a decent amount more stability than other plastics. Anything in Eclipse 2.0 is even more stable.

If you haven’t tried the cosmic electron pilot yet, I highly recommend it! It’s sorta like a shallow p2. And the pilot in proton is pretty similar to the sky god in my opinion, and it’s an absolutely fantastic throwing putter, so you should definitely try that!

Another neat video, thanks! Black rims on discs arent my favorite thing about mvp. I do enjoy some overmolds, but its not just mvp's. A bag full of solid colored, black rimmed discs, can be a pain I'm sure. I dye mine tho, so that helps. Of course it doesnt help until you pull the disc. Even the edge shape is hard to discerne, as black hides it a bit, to my old eyes. Mvp putters are an oddity to me. Not bad, just something different for sure. I am perpetually confused. Pretty sure it stems from my complete lack of consistency, not the same reason for you...
