Annie, thank you so much for sharing your insights! I am around the same age as you and am in my freshman year of college too... I completely agree with you about scheduling.. I'd rather have 8 am's every day of the week and be done with my classes earlier in the day than get to sleep in and have later classes. I've been watching you for years, though, and it's been great watching you grow in all these different areas of your life. You are inspirational to me and I love how you always take time to prioritize your relationship with Christ.

I believe that in my case, I just have really good friends who happen to be male. Their gender doesn’t define the value they bring to my life. I see them as individuals who matter to me, regardless of gender. I do think it’s important to establish clear intentions and boundaries, but once that’s done, I don’t see any issues with maintaining those friendships. As for hanging out one-on-one with a male friend, if that friendship existed before a romantic relationship, I believe it should continue during it. I’m not going to change my life or sacrifice meaningful friendships just because I’m in a relationship.
