The original trilogy is one of my favorites of all time. My best advice to you is to explore everything! You will miss lots of great stuff if you don't. Nice to revisit thru the eyes of a newcomer tho. Enjoy!

Since there are six occupations with different dialogue options for both renegades, paragons, men, and women, there’s a lot of replay necessary to see 100% of the content. Having seen that all, I enjoy watching people play with fresh eyes. Watching your raw response to the story beats is fun. So, no hint from me. Enjoy.

It's nice to see somone take the same ammount of time into the hair/makeup etc than i do 👌😊 Oh, a quick tip. You always carry 4 weapons, a pistol, assault rifle, sniper and shotgun. To change between them, you have to hold the weapon select button, not tap it. Tapping it only switches between the last two weapons you used x

If no one has mentioned this. -Dialogue options on the left of the wheel always give you more information and won’t advance the conversation forward. -Dialogue options on the right of the wheel advance the conversation forward. So the options on the left will most likely be lost.

Unless there's a timer, there's no rush. Wander around everywhere. You'll find all kinds of things that are either useful or valuable. Decrypting things get you experience points, which makes it easier to level up.

They actually tell you how a pilot plot's a relay jump within the first 2 minutes of the game. While shepherd is walking upto the cockpit, you can hear joker over the intercom as he's telling the relay where he wants to jump to and how much mass he wants jumped. Afterwards he also mentions drift. This is referring to relay drift. The more mass that is transported through a relay, the further away from the exit relay the ship will be.

Gosh, that opening sequence with the tunnel camera following Shepard to the bridge of the ship is still, I dare say, Legendary. With the amazing score, it just thrust you immediately into the world and hammered home that you were about to embark on something BIG. This was BioWare storytelling at its prime. Also, this is a very story driven game. I would recommend as such that you make maxing out Charm or Intimidate your first priority with skill points. Choose one or the other but not both. Either one will unlock flavorful dialogue options that can enable much more positive outcomes to social encounters.

Exciting times! It's a trilogy every gamer should experience at least once in their lifetime. I'm only jealous I can't play the trilogy for the first time again :) Few words of advice: 1) be sure to read up on the "Codex" in the menu for really nice voiceovers on various lore elements in the game. 2) be sure to take in as much of the dialogue that this series has to offer (you will, after all, be listening to dialogue for the better half of the series. 3) try to complete as many side quests as possible, as many of them can open up additional dialogue options and have an impact on certain story milestones throughout the game/trilogy as well as character relationships. 4) as this is an RPG series, it does get a bit complex (the first game more so than the sequels in terms of it being more attuned to having hardcore RPG elements that affect both gameplay and storytelling alike). Nontheless, it is worth spending a little time here to get yourself accustomed to some of these elements (tutorials do an adequate job explaining this stuff imo) 5) Take Your Time and have fun!!!

Speaking of dialog choices and rpg elements, I'd dump as many points asap in the charm and intimidate stats. Nothing as frustrating (at least when I play) than seeing options greyed out.

@@pedrogonzaleznunez2197 you actually have to pick nicer and meaner dialogue options in conversations in order to gain enough paragon and renegade points to unlock the higher charm/intimidate skills. If you don’t focus on either paragon or renegade dialogue options for most of the game you will find yourself being locked out of many of the blue/red conversation choices you might want to use. You kinda have to commit to one path or the other early on. I think it’s a bit more nuanced in the sequels.

I'm always happy for players who get to know this great universe for the first time. A little hint, in case you haven't noticed it yourself, you need a party member on your team who always has a max level on decryption and electronics, if you really want to open all the boxes on your travels. Otherwise it is difficult to give advices. In ME there are key situations that can end badly if you don't know beforehand what to do or what to look out for. I don't want to spoil your gaming experience but i hope you will be spared from unexpected disappointments. Btw. You're very sympathetic! I like your calm and relaxed manner. I will say, it was pretty funny hearing you say you wouldn't be using the sniper and then using it the whole time 🤣 I believe you need to hold L1 to open the weapon wheel and choose the other weapon 😉 you're doing great though. The way you set your team in the beginning makes them use their powers on their own, which is best for a first playthrough. Also when you use R1 to open the powers, you can map one of your powers to the R1 button, so when you just tap R1 button it will use the power on what you have targeted. Don't want to spoil but it will help battles go smoother :) thanks for the content!

I am not going to lie, I hate when people say they never played this game. This game should be played non-stop before the legendary edition because it was good before it. Fun fact: even the character backstories are secretly Paragon or Renegade choices: "Spacer" and "War Hero" are each worth a couple Paragon points, while choosing "Earthborn" and/or "Ruthless" earns you Renegade points. (My "headcanon" Shepard is an Earthborn War Hero, so she starts out with a little of each. ;) )

Excellent choice. Vanguard is my personal favorite. FUN AS HELL. And it is a good balance between offensive weapons and biotic powers. And it gets even better in ME2 and ME3. Beautiful Shep! But I'm biased; my favorite color is purple.

@@LucyusMaximus A little non spoiler tip, on the right side of the conversation wheel, the top choice is usually a paragon choice and the bottom one is usually a renegade choice, if you care to decide to go paragon or renegade.

Speech skills are Crucial. Shepards communication skill is potentially one of his/her most powerful abilities, if not the most powerful. BTW Bastion(prestige class) Adept was really durable, at least in how the game used to be. My first Shepard was a Sheploo Shotgun Bastion. Destroyed all opposition by biotic barrier soaking all damage, throwing goons around like ragdolls or immobilizing them and blasting anyone who got close with a shotgun blast to the face after warping them. Vanguard is cool though. Nyx is pretty Brutal though: Kaidan: What the hell are those? Jenkins: Gasbags, they are harmless. Nyx: Regardless, all animals must die! Jenkins gets shot and collapse on the ground... Nyx ignores his body and moves on.

Haha honestly I was so focused on my first combat that I didn't even hear Kaidan say we should check on him! Poor Jenkins...He deserved better. (RIP)

You're seriously in for a truly fantastic voyage. It's not a game by any stretch of imagination it's a journey where you are writing the saga. Also with being bombarded with all DLC it's worthwhile looking on KZbin for videos explaining which order would be best to play through. No spoilers but be warned, there will be situations that will hit you hard in the feels.
