My First Solo Trip to Disneyland | Taking the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to Anaheim

Now that I live in San Diego, I'm a 'SoCal local' for Disneyland! I got one of the 3 Day SoCal Resident tickets (which lets you go any 3 individual days between now and June 2), and I wanted to visit the parks one more time before the holiday season ended. I wanted to avoid having to drive up to Anaheim, so I decided to take the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner! I did a coach ticket round trip from Solana Beach to Anaheim, and it was a fantastic experience! I'll definitely be taking the Pacific Surfliner up to Disneyland again!

As someone with a fear of cars and driving, I appreciate you highlighting a less common but effective alternative travel method to Disneyland! I absolutely refuse to buy Genie+, so it's cool to see another person using simple strategizing to get on all the rides they wanna ride in a day lol I'm so glad that you had a fun solo trip, and I hope that someday I'll pluck up the courage to go by myself too! Hi Emily. What a fantastic solo trip. The views from the train were spectacular. Indiana Jones is my #1 favorite ride at Disneyland, so I loved that you rode it first and agree that it is one of the best rides 😊. It is my dream to one day be able to take a trip to Disneyland and see the park at Christmas time in person. I hope to be able to do that in the next few years. This is exactly what I used to do when I had a Magic Key last year, solo Amtrak trips from San Diego. Only difference was I got on at Old Town. I also could never find that express bus lol. I definitely got nostalgic feelings watching this vlog. Galactic Grill is so underrated IMO. I loved seeing your experience.

Nice vlog. The ARTIC station brings back fond memories. I took Amtrak from the north for my 2016 and 2023 Disneyland trips. Also my 2015 VidCon trip. You'll find the shuttle eventually. Last time I watched a couple who seemed to know what they were doing. They went to a certain bus stop at ARTIC, and within 5 minutes the shuttle pulled up.

The ART Express bus from ARTIC only seems to have a scheduled route super early weekday mornings, so I'm guessing you have to request an 'On Demand' ride other times? (I'll eventually figure it out when I'm not in a rope drop rush!)

I wish I lived in cali, and not 3000 miles away.. We went in the first week of December and I agree Its a Small World is so amazing all lit up in Christmas lights. I'm surprised you didn't do any pin trading, there was quite a few boards with trivia and some nice pins when we went. I actually got a Galaxy's Edge Opening Day Cast Member only pin, and that wasn't even for trivia.
