My First Steam Engine, Wilesco D21!!!

Recently I purchased my first steam engine, but it is not as locomotive. Let's take a look at the Wilesco D21. This reliable engine has all the whistles (bells not included). For what may be considered a toy, it definitely is high quality.
Around railroads, never be complacent and be aware of your surroundings, be wear of anything that can happen.

Nice! Those a realy fun! I hawe a collection of the smaller ones. D21 is a lot more fun because it is one of the very few ones that came with a feedingpump and this manometer turret. I bought a loose manometer turret and a loose valve to connect an old aggregat i had laying around to the boiler of one of my D 12 so both aggregats can be driven from the same boiler, and i could keep the proper safety valve. Only "flipside" is that those quickly become an addiction since the whole system is like a giant Lego set but with real water vapor! Ha ha I bought a sheapo garage steel plate with holes that fit all the accesories so one can mount it stable and easily change the equipment one want to drive at the moment by laying down the plate and use my old meccano parts to make the installations.

Hello Nate, that looks like a nice unit in great shape, with not too much run time, after lots of use many things discolor. When i had a few i used Sterno to fire them. After you get one you will know what is coming next.

How big is this? Like what scale? Could this be used on a ho scale train layout to function as a power plant to power street lights and buildings or is this more sizeable for o guage?
