This brings back such good memories… really needed this dose of dopamine + serotonin today :) love these songs so much. « Sorry » and « Baby » are true masterpieces, and love how « Like We Used To » sounds so optimistic and soothing. Think everybody can relate to it, this feeling of tender nostalgia you get when revisiting a place you used to spend time in long ago. Personally i get this every time i go to places of my childhood again, like the streets of my family’s town, parks we used to go to on weekends… to see how so many things have changed in these spaces over the years, while some little details have remained the same, it makes me so happy yet emotional. But i also believe there are some instances where going back to such places can make you feel so heartbroken instead. After my grandfather passed away, we went back to his house (for me it had been a few years since i had last come there). Before his sudden passing, he was just about to sell it and move to another place. So we had to quickly retrieve his furniture and belongings, clean up and prepare everything for the sale. A few days later, as we were almost finished with all this process, i remember wandering through the rooms - they were completely empty and silent then, and i reminisced about the days i had spent in these as a kid, how it used to be a home filled with sunshine and laughters… such a sad and eerie feeling. i never saw this house again after this. It was sold to a young couple shortly after. Sometimes, i wish i could make myself invisible, or turn into a mouse, very tiny and quiet, and go back there, just to see if this place makes these other people happy too. i hope they are, and i wish nothing more but for this home to always bring joy and comfort to them like it did to me. i think all of these reminiscences, either tender or painful, are memories to cherish nonetheless, and i'm glad we can not only experience them from time to time in life but also revive them through beautifully nostalgic songs like "Like We Used To", or "Reminisce About All" by Onewe (for the more bittersweet aspect of this).

This was such a beautiful post. I was envisioning a music video with your story as the plot. I too imagine going back to old places that meant a lot to me and seeing how things are like now...I wish I could visit old homes and tell the ppl living there "I used to live here! A lot happened to me while I was here!"....but they'd feel threatened I think lol. Who would allow a stranger to come in and look around their place? It's insane to think about. If someone came knocking at my door and wanted to revisit their old home......maaaaaan, this could be the plot of a horror movie haha 😂😂 But in all honesty, and this might sound crazy but it doesn't to me - I visit old places and take photos. That way I can still keep the memories alive and current. Nostalgia is both a beautiful thing but also heartbreaking depending on what it is and how it affects you. That's the thing, wouldn't want to disturb these people and for them to feel uncomfortable... and would probably be too shy to come towards them anyway x') but going back to old places, (re)exploring them and capturing these fragments of the past into photos like you do is such a meaningful activity imo - and, as you put it, a great and creative way to remember and honour the past as something to accept and embrace ! :)

Awesome reaction. I love The Rose and Woosung as a soloist. Magical voice and seems like a great person in all his interviews and content. (Side note the buildings you see in “Baby” mv look like Hong Kong old densely packed high rise apartments some parts considered slums - no judgement. Look up Hong Kong slums and you’ll see, some are really quite sad when you see the conditions inside.) Anyway, you’re becoming one of my favorites as well

@@marcogennuso I tried to go to their concert. I have a think where I wait on stub hub the day of the concert and wait for prices to drop, but The Rose prices never dropped! I've seen so many kpop concerts so cheap that way normally!

I'm waaaay too impatient for that haha. I have to have the tickets the day they come out (unless it's a smaller group and I know it won't sell out, then I'll buy a week or two after...but I can’t wait til the day of 😂)

@@marcogennuso it's a gamble, but the Rose is the only one that I didn't get into and that's just because I didn't want to pay that high of a price. I've got club level seats with unlimited food and drinks for $50 for Blackpink and Ateez.
