Great JOB operating 😊 your first time. I started running Dozers back in the late 1970s running JD-450-C and Case 450s The JDs had a clutch pedal and the Cases Had this sweet power turn levers, for me it was harder on reverse in the case because I always turned the wrong direction, I just used the brake pedals in reverse. We also had a 125 International in Dozer and front bucket type machine. The International were a little bit slower but boy the pushed dirt over top of blade We used a 850-C case front bucket loader to run pea gravel to mainline sewer crews that 850 Case was as fast as a wheel loader, but the muddy conditions of the job site and the easement work, the track loader worded better than a wheel loader, the operator preferred to used the 850 Case over the International loader because it was faster running the pea gravel to bed the sewer pipe. You figured out the control right away, in my Humble opinion you did better than the guys coming to work first time on are jobs. I did mostly sewer main installations in new housing sites. When we would work on a Saturday, all us guys would say switch, and we would get in a different machine. I remember pushing a sewer manhole cover OFF the top with loader, my bad. But it was FUN switching machines, and running another piece of equipment for the first time. We had a big Bucyrus Erie 350 excavator for mainline digger 😊 it had totally different control levers ( air over hydraulic system) the swing was forward and back on lever, not left and right like modern excavator NOW. It took a learning curve to operate it correctly 😊 But boy it could RIP out hard pan ground like it was nothing. We changed our bucket teeth very often. It was one of the most powerful excavators I have ever been around. I bought a used Dynahoe -190 the little brother to that 350 The Dynahoe is the rubber-tired Backhoe that Bucyrus Erie manufacturer made till the mid 1980, my Dynahoe is a 1978 model. She is a beast in my back yard 😊 She is my baby girl.

@rykemerrill11645 ай бұрын
I got behind the controls of a big ole Cat once, it was fun! But our operator was digging out holes on the side of actual "Lookout Mnt" Tn. So he had to use the track hoe too, to step the dirt down, so when he lowered me down into the hole, after tying the 1 inch rebar box, I rode down inside the rebar box, had to secure it to the bottom, so the concrete wouldn't float it out! Fun fun!

I got to drive a Grade-all at the county. It was old. It had a 4-speed clutch-driven transmission but with a deceleration pedal or Clutch brake like that. And about 15 other leavers for the blade and tire rotation, IE rolling sideways on hills.

love how the grin gets bigger when you first start moving in the dozer haha, same thing happens to me the first time I get in a new piece of equipment
@russelmanary25014 ай бұрын
Atta girl. You are not afraid to try things. Cut a slot as the blade carry’s the dirt better, and after clean up the windrow by biting into the side. 2 or 3 passes and vala ,done. Good job. Smaller dozers are harder because they are shorter, so that makes them choppierand harder to make a smooth pass. Practice makes perfect
