It’s crazy how good pros are vs regular dudes, like the pop, speed and style are just ridiculous, it’s how routine they make super difficult tricks look is what sets them apart and shows they are on a different level. It’s like NBA vs G-league, there’s just a noticeable difference in skill level

Best shoe ive ever skated tbh is the blazer low. Hate to admit it but it is what it is. Hard to go back to any other shoe. I tried the nb 1010s i loved how comfy they were but it just didnt give me the flick i wanted. I just tried the 272 by nb and probably will get another pair. Highly recommended. I bought the Nike Force 58 to try out, they have a similar wide shape to the Accel Slim but I have not skated them yet, I personally have been skating eS's for awhile and never know what to get aswell when it comes to other brands but I def know not to get vulc shoes anymore.

The way you said they hug your foot and the tongue design reminds me of a brand back in the day called Simple. I thought they made the best shoes. Didn't have to lace them, but I didn't anyway. Same with their gum rubber sole..amazing. I don't really skate anymore, but I love your vids and what you are doing. Awesome job Tom.

Hey Tom… I’m about to be 39 years old. I picked up skateboarding when I was 12 I wanna say. 11-12… but I put about 7 years into it to the point all I did was eat sleep shit and breath skateboarding. I stopped skating and took a long hiatus. I got into watching street league and the original contestants had a lot to do with why I gave skateboarding another go for at least another two years. I guess where I’m going with this is that your skating has ALWAYS STOOD out to me man!!! It’s very unfortunate with the whole eS ordeal. I used to like eS a lot. Your skating is top tier man. You will have no problem picking up a shoe sponsor in the future. I myself… have been looking into new balance shoes a bit. My go to sneakers have been the janoskis. I have like 8 pairs in all colors. The Shane O’Neil ones were sick. But I’m kind of thinking Nike is getting old. There comes a point in time where it’s just time for new things in life. I know it sounds corny as hell but the SB Dunks have really formed to my foot and been my go-to shoe. I like a chunky tongue and good support and that’s exactly what they give! honestly i think asics are a good fit for your skating, not saying they’re perfect but at least for ledges they’re awesome, if you were looking for something more impact vans and quasi did a collab and that shoe works well for me on stairs! i normally skate cons so they feel good on my feet for jumping down things

I don't even know where to begin to try new shoes, i have been rocking half cabs since i was... 17, hell i even wear the fp shoes when i skate. but i really haven't locked into any pair yet, i guess half cabs cause i try something else, and then just go back to half cabs. but also inline, so buy half cabs, take out insole, replace the one in my inline, put flat 7mm insole in half cab, me happy. but also, i got out to NJ just over the river, cold as shit didn't skate, but ran around the FDR park, love park area, excited to come back in a better season. i got some ideas for tricks, guess ill see, never recorded me doing shit like trying before outside little shop vids lol

I think you would dig the Adidas Puig shoe. They've been the only thing I've skated for the past few years. Super cool colorways usually and the lace loops are protected so you don't break laces after 1 session. Comfy too.

I have to recommend the NB 440v2. This has been life shanging shoe for me. Specifically the high version. Also reminds me of an Accel Slim, but with a slightly square toe. Sounds weird but I really dig it. Durability is also really great.

Mate, try Cariuma Vallely’s, am 48 and they are super comfy and mean that I can skate for a couple of hours longer than I would otherwise be able to, being old and increasingly unable/unwilling to jump and all.

Had to swap the insoles for the asics gel vickkas. Stock ones feel a little harder than preferred. Swapped to a blue squishy thin adidas insole and they feel 40 times better. Consider swapping your fav 5ishmm insole in there

if you like cupsoles with pointy toes and somewhat decent impact support for heels, i like the busenitz regulars, non vulcanized. I also just got two pairs of copa premieres from adidas also and we'll see, they seem decently similar to the busenitz. Busenitz feel little weird for sw heels to me tbh, but nothing that i cant get used to pretty fast. In case you wanna try some adidas thats what works better for me. - Adidas busenitz - Adidas Copa premiere New balance 425s and 508s also look nice, but i had never tried them, so cant say how they feel. I also skate some vulcanized shoes, but if you dont like em theres no point to even mention them. Love the content, thank you!

Good review and skating Tom! I may try Asics if they have a cupsole available. I've been trying to find new shoes since finding out about etnies/es situation after wearing joslins for last few years. Tried New Balance 808's. Dig the shoe but if you get NB's make sure the shoe width is right. They weren't the right fit so I'm selling them. My shoe madness continues while I wear out my last pair of Joslins.

Yo keep the vids coming stoke on these. I have been wearing Asics for years, with a size 12.7 their 13 actually fits and your not swimming in it , nice they are putting out a better selection. Running the Sky OG's right now, no joke on the thin sole, but board feel is good. The Japan is good I have a pair of those as well, sole is thicker and a bit sharper on the edge. There is also the EX86 that is good, it is fairly thick in the sole. Seen B. Turner rockin' these and had to check them out.

I have no prior experience with them but if you want to go the NB route, the Tiago 808s are kinda reminiscent of like a Lynx so maybe they’ll fit the steez and give you the support. Personally I like Dunks, Leo Bakers, NB 440? I think that’s the cupsole with the v2s, also for the Sole Tech nostalgia, maybe they’ll fit Sals that just came out under Etnies, Ipaths could be cool too, that’s the nostalgia talking but maybe something to looks into. You should try New Balance 480's take a smidgen break-in, but they last forever, great impact protection, not bulky, and good flick once that rubber wears in.
