My first time flying the DJI Mini 3 Pro in Europe

This is my first flight with the DJI Mini 3 Pro in Lisbon Portugal. While I'm Flying, I'll capture some cinematic Drone Footage of the City. I also with fly over water and gets some shots of the Tagus River. This is my first time flying in Europe. I will share some tips on how to obtain a drone certification from the EU in a later video.

Thanks so much Chad for sharing some of your Lisbon, Portugal adventure! Brings back memories although it looks a lot different than I remember. I was there over 40 years ago! It is so much more developed than I recall and I only have a few pictures in my Navy scrap book and I recall being near a steep hilly area overlooking the sea. Enjoy your trip my friend. Nice video. Thanks for the share. What an amazing place. I too simply record my adventures with my Mini 2 and my Samsung S20 FE on a gimbal with various lenses or ND filters. That's all you need to create some good videos these days.

Great Video Chad, how did you figure out where you can fly your drone in Europe? Did you have to apply for a specific permit. My wife and I are going to Rome, Paris, Pisa and Lisbon in November. Thanks. I see the app,what app was that used.

Thank you. I searched for drone regulations in Portugal, which led me to this site www.easa.europa.eu/en/domains/civil-drones/naa. It will tell you the requirements for each specific country in the EU. Then, i took the necessary steps to obtain my EU drone pilot certification. Wasn't too hard.

Thanks for the invite. But, we have already come and gone. We were there the week of those wildfires, so our last day Cascais was July 26th. Then we went to visit family. Our vacation ended last week, so I'm already home. But I'm definitely would have liked to meet up. We will definitely be going back there in the future. I will try to give a heads up before I we do.

Beautiful video Chad. About filters for the Mini-3 Pro I've gone to the dial style of filter. It comes in sets of 2. I've found them to be just as efficient as having sets of filters taking up space in my case. I can't use this type on my Mav-3 Pro as you well know. Thanks for the ride Chad. I have 2 AVATAs now for work and play.

Hey JC... I have the VND mist filters, so I don't really use them. Really don't have a need for the Mist effect most of the time.

Yes, I registered it. You also have to take the EASA pilot training

Did you ask for any special permission to fly the drone there or it possible to fly out without asking any permission?

There are some areas where you need authorization and some you don't. Also there are areas that have altitude limits. There's an app called "Voa na Boa" that has the zones.
