His mom not only abandoned him at 3 when he became poplular he went to see her and she did the same thing to him . he suffered not having the love from his mother. When he paid homage in the beginning, every single mother came to see him trying to fill his loss. His mother passed away when he was in concert she was in Alcalpuco, Mexico. No matter what , he still longed for her, right up til his death.

I was a bell boy at the best hotel at Mazatlan Sinaloa El Cid Marina. He came back from a 5 hour show. I was there at 3 AM I was 18 working night shift. He came happy about the crowd and the love he recived. I gave hime a ride In my golf cart to his room, he said, people from your port are so especial and beatiful. When we got to his beulding he said you are so nice, can I give you a kiss, Im a Rap and R&B lover but here was Juan asking for a kiss. Saiid yes, he kiss my cheak and said. Never lose the way your people is. Now after 23 years later I tell this story and no one bealives it couse Juan is the best of all times here in Mexico.

Im pretty sure it was mentioned before. He wrote this song to his mother who passed while he was touring through Mexico. He was in Acapulco at the time he was nitified that his mother had passed. Thats why he mentions... You are the reason I have the saddest Acapulco memory.
@iotorito2 ай бұрын
NOOOOO! Please, people.... mostly if you are mexican, stop spreading this LIE. Please do your research before spreding wrong stories. True Story of Amor Eterno: He wrote it for Rocio Durcal (singer and JuanGa formerly friend) daughter. Rocios daughter drown in an Acapulco beach, thats why you listen him singing "you are the sadest memory of Acapulco" and "I know i could have done more for you" because i believe Rocio was present when she drown. This song was first sang by Rocio, but then sang by JuanGa because he wrote it so he owns the song too. So.... this is an even sadest song... of course is dedicated to Mothers love, but not to Juan Gabriel moms, his mom abandoned him. Of course he will be thinking of his mom too, but he didnt wrote the song for her.

Juan Gabriel! All his songs are so powerful, you should listen to his other songs. They are incredible. He was/is/will be a legend. It's more powerful when you learn that his mother abandoned him in a orphanage, then later on in life ended up reconnecting with her. I was fortunate enough to grow across Juarez (El Paso), so he was very huge there. I grew up with his music and forever grateful and thankful to my family for allowing me to have the honor of listening to this legen.
