As she said in the beginning, Italian way is very intimate to her (although she speaks French mostly). Her mother is from Sicilly Italy, and surely she loves the food, the language, the song, the life of Italian way. Her husband is also an Italian. That's how she is so on point when singing in Italian. Her father is Belgian, that speaks French off course. And she lives in Quebec Canada. She sings in 12 languages and fluent in 4. Again you can see this inspires Dimash a lot, and as far as I know he sings in 6 languages already, and improving a lot. They are dearest friend to each other. Love them two. He looks up to her and she (and Igor) support him

hello, she is remarkable not only because she sings in these languages, unlike others who memorize words by heart without knowing the meaning and sometimes crippling the words, she speaks these languages fluently and understands every single word of what she sings and manages to pass it on to her listener.

Remember that Dimash idolizes Lara as a singer and performer....an artist! I believe Lara is around 30 during the time of this performance while Dimash is currently 26. He still has years of seasoning to get to Lara's level if that's even possible! I personally don't think its possible but we'll see....

Lara is so underrated. She confessed very recently in Canada where she lives, the reason why she didn't make it in the USA. At the time, she and Céline Dion had the same music company (Sony), Céline was already a star in America, when Lara only was a rookie. Lara revealed that Céline Dion's team (not Céline herself) did everything to sink her/sabotage her career as Lara had the whole package to also become an immense star in America, and worldwide. The music company didn't want another huge voice to compete with Céline's, and instead of supporting her, of supporting her style of music/songs (such as 'Love by Grace'), Lara was forced to leave it for another company and forced to change her professional team. As a result, the other company formated Lara to make her sing pop songs such as "I will love again", a style of music/songs for which Lara and her stunning voice weren't made for, and it was over....such a waste, as she should be as famous and successful as Céline or Mariah Carey today. :(

I prefer Lara because while celine is only technical, Lara in addition to having a great voice, expresses her soul and her emotions. Celine is cold

Lara's a living legend, having sold 30 million albums worldwide, across so many countries. If when she was at the top of her popularity the internet was as big as it is today, she'd be so much better known than nowadays. The rise of artists who were inspired by her, such as Dimash, is helping people who never knew of her to get acquainted with one of the best storyteller singers ever. Even if she's singing a cover, you would think that she wrote the song and she LIVED the story!

Hello, very good response. Lara dives deep into the song, she gives everything, emotional, mesmerizing, captivating, fascinating performance. You can see why, to my knowledge, she is a role model for Dimash. For me she is a really great artist. Dimash has extraordinary and outstanding skills. But I don't like him very much because it is often exaggerated for me and he seems somehow artificial to me. He mostly doesn't make me feel really deep. All the best and greetings from Germany (and please excuse my not so perfect English).

She is an inspirationto Dimash. Expression, long notes, pause before beginning, and many songs that she did with Igor Krutoy many years ago. The fact that she sings in many languages also, makes Dimash go for it also.

you have to listen to it with the translation in your language, because with only half of it! is a poem that will hold your heart devi ascoltarla con la traduzione nella tua lingua , perchè coi godi solo a metà ! è una poesia che ti stringerà il cuore

This song is about the great Italian operatic tenor Enrico Caruso as he was nearing the end of his life, and the love he had for his young wife.

Anthony, she's so special. It wasn't necessary for you to talk so much. Just looking at your face said a thousand words. Dimash adored her growing up and he learned how to get his full emotion into a song by watching her. They remain dear friends today.

I just came across your reaction. In fact I just heard of Lara 2 weeks ago and have been listening to her and reactions to her since then. In my opinion no one shows emotion like Lara! I think that if you did a little background check on how the song came about you would understand even more. Look up Lucio Dalla, Caruso. Lucio wrote this song about Enrico Caruso the opera singer. Well done!

It's okay that you were stuck in a trance. I always am too. It's a very beautiful song. You should watch the New Citizen vid with translation when you can - more goosebumps when you understand what she's saying. (Think Air with L : LAIR-uh) And you may get some Dears mad at you, but I agree: she is a much more artful singer in wringing out the emotions than he is so far. **runs from the angry mob**

@@danielakeller7532 Actually, the first "a" is spoken simply identically to the second one. It's just "Lara" instead of "Laura". Clean "a"s. Like the "a" in "This is a song"...

She took a page out of the “Diana Ross” playbook, by changing her dress/clothing with short breaks that allow quick restroom trips. She returns stunningly beautiful dressed, and picks up singing as an angel.

Dimash has said that Lara has been his role model. She is absolutely fantastic. However, if you think Dimash doesn’t sing with emotion, you haven’t listened to the right songs like “Love is like a dream” , “Autumn strong” and many others. Like your reactions !

Please react to Mylene Farmer Avant que l’ombre 2006 live.. she’s another amazing french artist. One of the most successful artists of all time there actually.. and her concerts are visually striking, I can promise that you’ll never have seen anything like what she does before! You’ll be shocked!!

@Hawke she can sing decently, nothing too special, it’s true. But we don’t ‘follow’ her for her singing. We ‘follow’ her for her lyrics, stages, personality, her universe etc.. we prioritise those instead of singing
@rhaelicent
@rhaelicent 3 жыл бұрын
@Hawke No that’s not what I said/meant. I don’t ‘follow’ her for her singing, I ‘follow’ her because she’s an artist. There is so much more to being an artist then just the vocals & how good they are. She has always been her own song writer and her only composer (until 2008) was Laurent. Yes, her golden era is over, but that doesn’t mean that she’s suddenly bad. There’s so much more to her, to every artist, than just vocals. Her lyricism is the best I’ve seen; poetic, beautiful, conservative but not ever over done, melancholic etc.. her vocabulary and writing skill is so vast it’s amazing. You can tell (from her texts) that she knows her language very well. Her stage visuals - they are absolutely other worldly. Water curtains in 2006 (the first to ever do that), flying out of a statue in 1999, all the costumes, stage concepts/designs she has are awe inspiring. Her personality is wonderful, when you look at interviews, fan-cams and when you’re a fan in general, the so called veil of ‘mystery’ starts to unravel. She’s very unique in how she does things, how much she gives to her career and to us. She never overdoes it. She cares for her fans very much, it’s heartwarming to look at how wonderfully she treats us. She visits hospitals to see sick children every year, has allowed a whole group of sick young girls to see her in her dressing room at Bercy before her (2006) concert, she participates a lot in charity meals etcetc yet she never brags about any of this during interviews. I haven’t seen her mention it once, that shows that she doesn’t do this to get more attention for ‘how good she is’ since she does it quietly. Her universe is full of mystery, full of all sorts of interesting things that I couldn’t even describe properly. She writes the screenplay (at least used to in 1980-2010, idk if she does anymore but I suspect so) of her music videos and they are always very interesting. Especially ones from 80-90s. She as an artist is very unique, very interesting & THAT is why I love her. Not for how much she can flex her vocals every live performance. I like it tbh, I don’t want all kinds of super extra whistles and belts in my ears 24/7. If you like that, then you do you. But for me, I don’t so for me she’s the perfect singer. She’s much more then ‘bad vocals’ or ‘an old french lady’
@rhaelicent
@rhaelicent 3 жыл бұрын
@Hawke I am talking about her in general but as far as stages go, they are connected with music. So are music videos. So naturally, even if the voice isn’t great, you happen to see the stage behind her anyway, you happen to see/hear her lyrics too, it’s connected. I’m not saying she’s some otherworldly vocalist, I’m just saying that she’s worthy of checking out for her own reasons. Also because she’s one of the most successful artists of all time in France. Also yes I didn’t mention Lara, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like her.. for example Mademoiselle Hyde (I’m bad w song names, I hope this is correct) is amazingly sung by her (in my opinion) & I also love how she is on stage, ‘feeling’ the lyrics etc..
