Regarding water in Singapore, tap water is potable. It’s totally safe to drink right out of the tap. You don’t really have to buy bottled water…

While true, thats also what they said about the water in Flint, Michigan, USA. Also, when walking around outside, he doesnt really have a tap with him. And water is more healthy than red bull or coke. So..

I once went on a vacation with my family to Singapore and i was really amazed with the structures i saw, The unmentioned factor is that everyone works hard. They have had an unbelievable work ethic. The pioneer generation were given a good opportunity by an intelligent government, but they worked hard to improve themselves. Another unmentioned thing is the significant economic pressure on working families.

@pamelaparis1659 You're right! If you are unfamiliar with the market, I recommend seeking advice or assistance from a financial coach. With the help of an investment advisor, I have diversified my $250k portfolio across multiple markets, We were able to generate over $685k in net income from seasonally high-dividend stocks, ETFs and bonds. For me, this is the most ideal way to enter the market these days.

Hi there, I'm glad you're enjoying Singapore! As a Singaporean who has worked in the Passenger Service and Customer Service field : To fully enjoy the taste of what it's like to live in Singapore(Local Food and Prices). Just my suggestions and tips as a Singaporean to all tourist who's coming to Singapore. 1) Upon arrival, do not take a taxi. Take the MRT located at Terminal 2 and 3. Get yourself a Sim-Card too with Data. Public transport in Singapore is actually fast and easy to understand, relatively cheap too. A dollar to 2 Singaporean dollars MAX (Depending on the distance) for a trip, and there's also transfer fares which are cheaper (If you change buses/trains). Taxi's at the airport are relatively expensive, the moment you enter the taxi, its already $3.50-5 depending on the type of Taxi you took, + Surcharges such as Peak Hour or etc. Taxi's are charged by the distance so you're looking at roughly $15-20 on average for a taxi ride to your accommodation. 2) Location of your hotel matters, although personal budget also matters, my suggestion would be hotels near : Bugis, Tanjong Pagar and Novena. as those areas are one of the few places where it's easy to access many places and have cheap and good food nearby. 3) Food wise, cafes and restaurants are definitely expensive, to really enjoy local food Hawker Centers and Coffee Shops are my suggestions. For tourist, I'd recommend places like Lau Par Sat, Newton Food Center, Maxwell Hawker Center. But if you really want to go where the local's eat, area's such as Toa Payoh, Clementi, Punggol hawker centers/coffee shops are where you can find the most locals. 4)Drink wise, Singapore's tap water is clean, you can drink it straight out the tap and our local Grocery Store, NTUC or Sheng Shiong, sell bottled water for cheap too, its less than a dollar for a bottle. You can also find local snacks there as well. 5) Alcohol wise, my suggestion is never to drink alcohol at a bar or pub, unless you are with a bunch of friends. you can get beer/soju/spirits in the local grocery stores or independent stores for at least 30% cheaper. 6) For the smokers who are coming to Singapore: Smoking is very difficult in Singapore as you can't just smoke anywhere, especially for the tourist attraction areas. There will be designated Smoking areas which you'll have to find, you shouldn't litter as well, as the fine for littering is quite heavy and the Cigarette price in Singapore is mad. you're looking at roughly $13-$16 Singaporean Dollars for a pack of cigarettes. Think of it this way, the only things that are really expensive in Singapore for a visitor are : Tobacco, Alcohol. P.s. in a day, once accommodation is settled, you can actually survive with $30 a day in Singapore (and that's still considered alot) ; Average cost for a meal in Singapore (Food + Drink) at a Hawker/Coffee Shop as of 27/07/2023 : Food : $3 - $5. Drink : $1.5 - $2. That's just all I can think of at the moment. The frequently asked questions I get from the tourist I encounter are mostly answered to what I have suggested above. I'd be happy to answer any questions from anyone who's keen/going to come to Singapore. God Bless. I hope you have a great time in Singapore!

Even if it’s expensive but it’s worth to visit Singapore ‘cause it’s unique. The no. 1 airport in the world as to aesthetic and service then the tourist spots and hawker foods to try. Hope you’ll explore the ethnic enclaves like Little India, Chinatown, Malay and the Muslim cultural areas. Singapore is multi ethnic and culturally diverse.

You can get 100GB for 2 weeks for SGD12. And this is readily available at most convenient stores, including at the airport. Some pre-departure googling would've allowed you to save SGD38. And a bottle of water is about SGD0.50 at most supermarkets. Whilst it is true that Sg is very expensive in some aspects of life. But most of the time, it appears expensive to those who are new here, only because of their lack of pre-departure prep.

Try The red light district next time. I know it sounds terrible. In reality the red light district has the best local food. Also, it’s Singapore. So it is very nice there. Close to public transport too. Hotels are much cheaper as well . Also, they sell much cheaper SIM cards in 7/11 stores. If I remember correctly 100GB 30 day sim was 15 USD. Another area I like a lot is little India. You know what, I like all areas in Singapore, it’s a unique city/ country.

Cheapest food is at the hawker centres which could go for as low as $3.50 per meal. Cheapest bottled water is at the supermarket which costs around $0.50. The MRT and bus fares are fully integrated and charged distance-based so it doesn't matter if you travel the same distance on the bus/ mrt or bus and mrt, you would still be charged the same fare as long as you use the same card. The only things that are expensive are alcohol, cars and accommodation.

I’ve only been to Singapore once as I was connecting at the airport. It was early march 2020 as the rona scare was beginning so I had to stay at the terminal I was in. I stopped at the 711 and had a couple of Heinekens while I was waiting on my 2nd leg of 4 legs home. Although Singapore looks nice I would probably be thinking of all the extra money i would be spending so it would probably be a quick in and out.

It's ok if you did your homework and looked for all the decently priced places. Places like the airport and the Gardens by the Bay are all touristy spots with jacked up prices, the "normal" priced areas are not that bad. Like lunch or dinner for 3.50-6.00 SGD price range. Capsule "hotels" are about $50 per night. Like always, it is a good idea to do homework before jumping in to avoid getting fleeced.

I will keep watching as it is only half way through. Loved your video I was there 8 months ago & not that long before you were. Just like to say a few things. Yes you always need cash in Singapore so many places where to use it & can only use cash which is interesting because Singapore is a city & country of the future way more advanced than most other places & yet they would never go cashless which suits me. Regarding your arrival at changi so much inconvenience with catching the bus or mrt into the city. Taxi was the best way sure it costs more but was still dead cheap & your not doing with queues & crowds. You mentioned the rain I had to laugh you see I went to the botanical gardens when a monsoon happened which was unfortunate had to cut my day short however you soon dry as quick as you got wet that is how it is in Singapore. I too was at gardens by the bay unfortunately though didn't get much our of my time there due to several reasons still sure will next time. You spoke of the high cost there but I only found that with buying alcohol everything else was cheap though probably still more expensive compared to other Asian countries I accept that. Thanks for your video. Will tune in for other content.

Eermm you do realised that Singapore has much more things to discover than just Marina Bay and Orchard Road right? For outlet shopping, you have to go to the west side to IMM. If you wanna learned about science or the military, you could visit the Science Centre and the Discovery Centre. To the north, there’s a $2 entrance to go around a park that has loads of local fauna like crocodile, snakes, monkeys and big lizards. To the centre, a big hill to climb. To the south, there’s a green corridor where you could hike from one side to the other and visited the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. To the east, Jewel plus the parks. So yeah, lots of things to do

In fact, he's been walking rings round only the Marina Bay area (essentially just the southern end of the main island)! 😂😂 That's like around 10% of the island - and I'm not even counting the offshore islands... 😆

U only walk rings around the Marina Bay-Chinatown-Little India-Kampong Glam-Orchard Road area which is not even 10% of the attractions in Singapore…. Do google and there are lots more to do…

Marina Bay Sands is not that expensive. The cheapest rooms are like US$450 as of Oct 2023. New York City on the other hand is way more expensive than Singapore. Those regular five-star hotels (like Mandarin Oriental and Ritz) cost like US$1500 for a basic room all year round.

Aiyayai, T4 has no MRT. 😂 Also you ended up at Harry's @ Southbridge. 😅 There is no tipping culture like the US, although if you really enjoyed the service, you can leave a small tip, usually less than $10. 😊 Alcohol is expensive in Singapore because we have alcohol tax. 😅 The place with the anime cafe is called the Esplanade, Theatres by the Bay. The whole area starting from Marina Square to Gardens by the Bay, is called Marina Bay area. Gluttons Bay where you got that Dasani water is not the cheapest Hawker Centres, there are cheaper Hawker Centres in Singapore. If it is raining and you would like to visit the Gardens by the Bay's domes, it is totally worth it. Also, don't you have the EZ link card from the airport? You could have just tap that same card! 😅 The public transport systems of Singapore is all accessible with a NFC payment method (if you have your credit card tagged to your mobile devices).

Why do all these travel bloggers just walk around the city centre? Singapore is not just Marina Bay. Of course everything is bloody expensive. Why no one goes out of the city centre?
