Highland coffee is like Starbucks but better... then you level up into the traditional drip-coffe... it's a good option but nothing will compare to the salted egg coffe my girlfriends cousin did for me at my first visit.. at first I thought it was so-so.. then after going home it took me a year of waiting for our return trip to basically run out from the airport to find a good place to try it again. It's a craving I never knew I had and I long for it every time we go.... oh and sadly Durian (sad because the price of it). I come from a land of potatoes and gravy so everything tasted good over in Vietnam... except Tiết canh.. still don't enjoy it -but if bà nội serves it I will clean the plate! Fun to see these types of videos. I'm not (clearly) asian but I love Vietnam and have loved every city I went to.. a little biased to the north though but HCM really has it's charm as well. Best memory so far beside first arriving and finding out that I who like winter could accually enjoy the head in some wierd way (don't like the heat in Italy for an example) were in Da Nang when the sky opened up and rain poured down and I became an attraction for the locals as I helped lifting up and setting the tarps in order.. good to be two heads taller than the rest of the people..... and as two kids followed us around in a store and giggled only for it to turn out that they were folling us because they though that my girlfriend (vietnamese) looked like a doll and totally ignored me as a tall white man...
