@@patrickhundley1203 it's the best way to do it, instead of living in a hotel. I lived in MTL for 10 years. I understand the attraction to the city, but living there was a nightmare. 99% of Canada is woods, lake, peace and quiet. That's why i live for.

Enfin ... Poutine et Gelato ... on ne parle pas de la même chose bien sûr!

@@clairemercier3969 Maybe your circle actually despises poutine as a low-brow dish - and there is some truth to it - but it is very popular in Montreal and the rest of Quebec as well. It's not only a "tourist" food, by any means.

The new REM (réseau express métropolitain) just opened today and you should try it next time you visit the city. I am a 60 year old Montrealer and one thing I like about the city is the bike trails. Next time you visit I will be glad to show you the trail that goes from old Montreal all the way to lake St-Louis or the one from St-Lambert to Varennes. These trails are beautiful. Even we (Quebequers) make modifications to the recipe sometimes but a real poutine is cheese, fries and gravy and it will always be the best. I am baffled that you managed to find things to do in Montreal for a full month, I guess that's the sign of a true traveler, you must be a natural. 5:44 We can tell you're american by the way you describe people who ride public transport haha; taking the bus is very normal and in fact its quite the opposite here. Most people who take the bus are young working individuals in the city! No shame in it!!! On the contrary older retired people are usually in their cars driving themselves places. Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, Vancouver and even some places in the middle of nowhere have Public Transport systems. I visited Mont-Tremblant and they had a bus system as well!

Anyway, there are sites out there where people offer their places for house- and pet-sitting so you can go away for long periods of time without worrying about lodging. Something to look into as you get into doing more travel abroad!

I spent a lot of time on instagram and reddit looking at other people's photos and figuring out where they were for some of mine, but there was a good portion i just happened to stumble upon. I kept my camera with me the whole time since I was constantly finding beautiful shots!

OMG the self-cleaning restroom! 😮 Where was it exactly? We need those in Quebec City too, because there are not enough public restrooms.

It was along the waterfront near old Montreal I think. Quebec City was the first place I've been with coed public restrooms, I thought i went in the wrong restroom at first😂

🤣🤣🤣! You seem to like poutine! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don’t blame you it is amazing! 🤣🤣🤣 for the botanical garden your opinion about it would change if you talked to any of the cool gardeners maintaining it. Yes the round about on the bicycle path is very unique as I recognized it right away. There is only one. 🤣🤣🤣 very good video! Well done. When you come back to Montreal make sure that you go to China town for dim sum while listening to Leonard Cohen music. If you like winter Montreal is very nice to visit during winter.
