I made Songpyeon for the first time, the traditional Korean rice cake to celebrate chuseok aka. the national food coma day 😆

You're even more creative with them! 🥺😍 Also, I'm definitely trying these too!! 🤣 But no seriously, I love how so many of us in this asian culture have similar dishes. One of the very famous Indian (Maharashtrian) sweets are modaks. They too are steamed rice cakes, but filled with fresh coconut and jaggery (raw sugar) instead. We prepare it for Lord Ganesha on Ganesh Chaturthi, which just happened last week. I've been missing them this year since I'm not at home. 🥺
