I recommend "The Story of One Sky"... the music video. Dimash wrote the music and the script, and he acts in it, too. It's 13 minutes and some seconds long. It's reall a short movie. Bring tissues.

I love his playfulness in this song making the audience enjoy the moment. This song from Vita’s got 114 award. He is a Russian opera singer, but after this cover of Dimash in the program “I am a Singer” in China, a contest for Chinese famous singer ( Dimash was the youngest to perform ever in this program and was invited as a wildcard since he is not Chinese) Dimash was forbidden to sing it again. I think this version smashed the original one. ❤ from Spain 🇪🇸

You are right, Dimash performs this song incomparably better than the author. But Vitas is not an opera singer, he did not study singing at all and sings only in falsetto and recitative. Вы правы, Димаш исполняет эту песню не сравнимо лучше автора. Но Витас не оперный певец, он вообще не учился пению и поет только фальцетом и речитативом.

He was just 22 during this 14 round competition in China, competing against established singers in China where he gained global fame. That's why he is known as the 6 octave man coz he can hit bass notes up to whistle notes, the highest is out of the piano. Dimash has a wonderful sense of humor, and he really had fun with this song engaging the audience and the other contestants. This was in 2017, so he was much younger then. His boyish cheekiness here is so adorable. He didn't know that his dad flew into China to support him and was in the audience as he performed this song. If you watch the video to the end, you can see the heartfelt reunion between father and son. Dimash and his family are really very close, and their love and respect for each other is so wonderful to see. Opera 2 was a song by the famous Russian singer Vitas who sued The Singer show after Dimash's performance claiming they did not get the proper copyright permissions for the use of the song before it aired. Vitas said that he would never again give permission for Dimash to sing any of his songs in any venue for any reason, essentially banning Dimash from ever singing it again. So this video is the only chance we have to hear Opera 2 by Dimash.

@ Shon.....if you re- watch this song, try to find the longer version. It has song lyrics and subtitles for all the speaking , including the other competitors in the back room. There's a good story at the end. Dimash was in a foreign country , not speaking the language, the youngest competing at only 22 and terribly homesick!! His Dad surprises him with an unexpected visit. It's so sweet! Enjoy! 💞💞
