: sigh: I get tired of ppl lumping Jelly Into that hick hop country rap genre . He's nothing like Upchurch Adam Calhoun, etc. Yeah he's from Nashville and yeah He's a white boy rapping and yeah he has a southern twang and all that. The shit he raps about though is from a straight up hood/street perspective mixed with southern culture esp his early mixtapes and shit. Those other artist you mentioned talk about tractors and living in the country and shit , Jellys music speaks to ppl from all walks of life and ppl struggling on the streets . Please please ppl stop comparing dude to hick hop he's on a whole nother level than that shit . No disrespect to those other artist there doing there thing , but Jelly is nothing like them at all.

I heard this song for first time this summer while sitting at a bar eating dinner. It grabbed me and took me down the rabbit hole to where I use to be a different person that was lost and so full of pain n sorrow. By the end of it I felt the tears starting to run down my face. Whoever has said there isn’t power in music I dare them to listen to this and not have it touch them. Keep preachin’ Jelly
