Watching the vid and experiencing long road trips, in the heat, no fairing is best. That air flow is mad refreshing, sometimes even when it’s hot air. I’m not keen on Harley’s but the seating position looks prime for long trips.

Run a long phone cord charger under the seat through the center console and it will hang out from the front and stay in place. I charge my phone on my bars while I ride.

Hello Queen, good post. I ride a King as well but i always use windshield on highway. Been hit in chest by beatles and pebbles plus I dont have to grab the handlebars so tight due to wind. Just less fatigue after 4 hr rides. You rock..impressed

When I bought my Harley Road King think about five or six months after that I got a shield on mine you don’t have too much wind resistance hating mine helmet ride safe out there sis 👊

I pretty much always ride by myself. Don't ride a Harley, but I bought a brand new 21' Vulcan 1700 Vaquero this year, already have over 1000mi on it living here in NH. Ride it to work whenever possible, I work 3rd shift. Added the backrest/luggage rack to it and the power outlet in the fairing, also put a slightly taller windshield on it, it came w/a 5" windshield. Been riding a 79' KZ1000 ST for most of the 16yrs I've been riding. Still have it, but I mainly ride the Vulcan now. My first "bagger" and I like it. Stay safe, and watch out for those wet railroad tracks girl.😏

I just bought the same helmet. I love it, the helmet has more visibility then regular helmets. It also breaths better. I would run your wire under your side cover also

You should ride with us on the Vietnam wall in September. There are riders from all over the state meeting in Fredericktown town Missouri. It's the only run in the state of Missouri authorized by the governor and we have a police escort. We meet in Fredericktown, then we all run over to Perryville together. It's an awesome ride.

just purchased a 21 road king standard. coming from a 08 street bob, wanted a touring and highly suggest a shield. so nice riding and not having that body fatigue, although it doesnt look as nice... coming from a dyna is a big weight change so my skinny legs shake like a puppy shittin peach pits every time i back out of my driveway but its awesome!

Need to get a proper power supply up front near the bars so you can plug your accessories into. That cable will beat on your paint in the wind and is a messy set up. Also add a adjustable back rest and highway pegs for your trips. I’ve learned to get it all done before I take a trip. you will get it all together soon enough.

I bet Beale Street was a blast! Definitely get you a windshield because you can always take it on and off. Memphis Shades makes great windshields.

I have 3 bikes 2 of which have the batwing ferring and my baby a 06 RoadKinG. Girl pit some 16 apes, get you a Saddleman solo seat. Your baby will look sharp and be comfy. These bikes are baggers but kinda strip it down to feel more of a part of the road. Get you a short smoked out windshield. Trust me it will enhance your experience and you will live your baby more.

I ride and am in love with my '07 Road King. White with gold pearl clearcoat and lots of chrome. When my baby is in the sunlight it looks like it's radioactive! I stick to the US routes and state and county highways mostly. Never did like the superslab but on my road trips I'm not looking to make time. No windshield for me but on the big road, it's on for sure. That's the beauty of the Road King, even with the windshield it's like nothing in front of you. And with it off, ahh freedom !!!

I love my Road King. Four Hours would be MAX I could survive on it without my speakers, fairings, etc on the Ultra Limited. I have the classic which has the windshield though so not as tough of a beating as you got with the wind. You are a brave woman.

I'm older and a windscreen was the way to go on trips. I think your going to love your new bike. I put Fox shocks on the back one inche longer than stock and the ride improved 100 percent. Fun channel and good luck.

I understand that feeling of freedom without the fairing in the way. I get the convenience of having all the nice stuff in there, but I do enjoy seeing the open road in front of me. I’ll be doing my first long solo trip for Indian bike week next month and am a little worried about leaving my ride parked outside and vulnerable when I stop each night😰

Man all this talk about comfort seats and windscreens, I thought I was the 50 year old man here 😁 I ride a stock 1981 Sturgis, I find this a very comfy bike for my 6ft3 frame. What helps is that I dont push it above 60mph (I dont want the bike to explode or burst an oil line)

I have a modular helmet as well but with the built in eye shades. I added the Bluetooth afterwards. Does yours have the built in shades? I didn’t see you use on the video. Easy to use even if you wear glasses.
