Hi Everyone, Welcome to my channel!
Every Tuesday I’ll bring you tutorials, tool reviews and vlogs all about plastering.
My name’s Anthony and I’m a third generation plasterer from Prestatyn in North Wales. I’ve been plastering since 1999 and I’ve had the fortune to have been taught by my dad. I want to help spread the knowledge that I’ve learnt and to keep developing my skills. Plastering is an ever evolving trade and I would love for you to join me on my journey.

Here in the south of France, that stuff goes off quickly so I can apply and scratch 2 hours after putting on second coat. I definitely would apply it late at night if I lived in the UK and scratch in the morning as it would probably still be soft and not hard to scratch. I like to scratch when you just see a slight finger indentation as it makes the job a whole lot easier and I find it gives a better result

good vid, you made it look doable even for a (enthusiastic) diy'er like myself. not a critic, because the interwebs is full of them types, but if you do it again could you show the (what appeared to be) patch up's and timings for it when you were scratching the final coat ? great job though, i would be very happy with that finish.

Great video, do you not have to apply mesh in between the coats ?

The only time I’d put mesh on, is if I’d base coated it. Id be worried that you would rub back to the mesh otherwise.

Hi mate have you ever had the sticks like or ct1 show through once you’ve completed a job? I’ve heard pink grip has come through on some mono jobs b4 ?

Hi mate, cracking video as always. Did you use any bonding agent or wet the wall down at all? Any advice or when and why you would use primers / base coats and in what situations? Thanks in advance.
@AnthonyParryPlastering
@AnthonyParryPlastering 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Oliver. No I didn’t on this job. With monoblanco it’s a one coat system so it was good to go straight over. If the brickwork was painted that’s when I would use a primer and base coat. It all depends on the background and what the product is meant for. This product is designed for going over new brickwork and block work. So I didn’t have any worries. But if I’d knock off old render I work definitely base coat it then

Big scrape marks using i bar wrong should be scraped to get the skim of it then finish off with I bar then scrape over everything with big long 500mm metal spatula to lose all the scrape marks and it’s a nice straight sharp edge to level last bits then finish with a soft brush

Help to go on there course hate all these plasterers out there that ain’t actually certified by the brands themselves and then off a service that they don’t completely know what there do and the right products to use if installed correctly by a approved applicator you get your warranty and a better looking finish and know the right adhesive has been used which I bet this guy would say SBR or a red grit primer but again good products but the wrong products and actually I didn’t even see him prime the brickwork omg😂 it gets better 😂😂😂

Answer is pal Parex DPR GO DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE OFFERING A SERVICE YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO DO CORRECTLY AMD THEN THE CUSTOMER WONDERS WHY I CHARGE ALOT MORE FOR ONE I PUT IT ON AT 15-18mm which is specified he does 10mm and the customer wonders why I’m twice the price nearly and then they ring the company and they give them my number and I then have to start all over again to warranty it by which time inflation has gone up and they pay more again when it all starts dissolving and falling off so do the right thing and RING PAREX AMD GET AN APPROVED APPLICATOR OFF THEM AND THEN IF IT ALL DOES FALL OFF (which it won’t)ITS DOWN TO PAREX OR KREND TO FIX IT LEGALLY BECAUSE IT IS THEIR OWN APPROVED APPLICATORS

I'm going to ring Parex for a recommendation.. They just don't have a clue where I live. I'd be gutted having a crap job like that with all the swirls, no mesh and no micro gobetis.
