Long distance relationships are so much easier now. When my now husband and I got together in the 1980s, we had to rely on writing letters, long-distance phone calls were too expensive unless you called after 11 PM! We kept all the letters, so it’s always fun to go back and look at them.

@alittlebitoflyss yes I live very close to the airport so it would be risky changing but I'm growing to hate reserve. I have to run over to the airport in a few hours for 5am airport reserve. Yuck!

Loved this vlog as always!! 🩷 I love Lysa TerKeurst’s books!! I do have one quick question because being a FA in the US seems to be different than Europe! What does it mean to hold a line? Just so you know your exact schedule? What happens if you don’t have a line? Standbys only?

Yep that’s exactly it! Line holder is where I know my trips and schedule in advance and reserve is being “on call” so you fill in last minute a lot more and don’t know your flying or trips

Typically we have 4 legs a day! If the flights are longer than we might have 2-3

They completed the merge however they will continue to operate under their own airline. They just combine their routes.

It means you have a schedule of trips for the month instead of just being on call for certain days (reserve) and maybe flying, maybe not.
