Nice! Well done! Sharing what you have learnt over there is really kind of you. However, as some already commented, it would be better if you stripped slower. Now you know for the next time 😊. And one more thing, hucho sight fishing is a total rarity and not many river can offer that kind of experience. Kudos to Slovenia for this! Cheers

Definitely learnt to strip slower during the trip. Loved being able to sight fish, but most of the time, as you say this wasn’t possible. Hopefully another trip soon! Thanks for your comment!

@@Rapinvenanot sure exactly - all was supplied by the guide. Heavy sinking line and a switch 12 weight 12 foot rod I believe

Try to strip slower, hucho dont like to spend a lot of energy to hunt and eat.Small hucho 2-3 kilo ok but bigger no .:)

Yeah, that’s something I definitely learnt during my trip. Looks like I got the hang of it in the end though, got very lucky on the final day. Thanks for your comment though dude.

@@will2fish Streamers without weight ,and intermediate fly line is good choice.I mean baitfish imitations.When Hucho is on hunt mod she sees everything.
