My first trip to the Museum of Broadway in Times Square NYC

I recently took a day trip into Times Square and went to the Museum of Broadway. I was impressed with the immersive displays that they had. Each room felt like you were stepping into the set of a show. They had, costumes, wigs, set pieces and more on display to be admitted, along with a lot of Broadway history for you to learn about. Some of the shows that had items on display included chorus line, wicked, Hamilton, kinky boots, the produces, lion king, phantom of the opera, moulin rouge and much more.

Annie was the very first broadway musical I saw too as a kid. Amazing to see her dress!

I'm a native New Yorker and never knew this museum existed! I'm a huge fan of Broadway shows and have seen so many over the years. How in the world did you hear about it? Thanks for showing this...how interesting and nostalgic.

It opened in 2022, so still fairly new. It was direct marketed to me at some point a while back and has been on my to do list. I loved that they had a full rage of Broadway shows represented. And you really could get up close to a lot of the props and costumes so all the details could be appreciated.

Reply: It wouldnt be a bad idea to start-up a piggy bank, just for Cats -- cause the way this world like to turn retro, the possibility of it coming in the rest of my lifetime is pretty likely I also heard it was an interactive show -- the cats would purr their way down the aisle -- cool, cool, and super cool 😻

I'd call it more immersive than interactive. They utilize audience areas for performance, but they don't pull audience members into the show. Similar how the opening of the lion king they come walking down the aisles past the audience seats

There was a time when i thought that things lasted forever, and now that i know that that is not the case i make more of my best effort to enjoy the current joys of life --- @18:11 to @18:55 A Huge shout out to Alphabet City -- The Wicked setup is amazing -- Thank for the ride along Mercury -- I loved every second of this

Cats is such a unique show. I feel like it's one of the few broadway productions where the dancing is the focus more than the story or songs. (Thats not to say that the story and songs are lacking in anyway but that the dancing is really showcased) If it ever is brough back I hope you get an opportunity to see it.
