My First True SMT: Shin Megami Tensei III

Great video Dario. I understand the auto battle feature but I still prefer picking the attacks on all combats haha no matter how long it takes

"It's like an intelligently made indie film that excels against the competition." that's probably the best take I've ever heard in regards to the SMT series as a whole! I have had a similar experience with SMTV on the Switch as it's a game that while I keep going back to I'm only able to play it in bits and pieces opposed to somethin like Xenoblade or Octopath Traveller. Auto Battle is such a nice feature. Xenoblade 3 had one that would seek out and destroy anything but bosses, and various mobile MMOs also have them, albeit with greatly reduced experience/item drops, which is perfectly fine in my opinion. It's a solid way to enjoy the meat of certain genres without having to invest a lot of "grind time" in them! Also, that Jason Graves cameo makes me want to go grab some McDonnies french fries, haha!

Also, I'm new to accepting auto battle so I don't even recall Xeno having them!

@@Dariothehungry As far as I know Xeno 3 was the first game to have an auto battle system in it and I didn't even know about it until super late in the game, haha!

Nah. The Maniax and Chronicle versions are about the same if we are talking about difficulty. The only thing different in the HD version is the convenience of being able to select passed down skills when you are fusing the demons and the suspend save feature.

@DragonKingX78 I'm late to the party but smt 3 has had me digging further into the Atlus library so I'm eyeing them. But no haven't played.

@@Dariothehungryshould give a try. I tried smt3 first as well. And DDS1 and DDS2 are way more accessible and less punishing. Highly recommend both games!
