Thank you Lara, really appreciate it. Wow 80k's thats a big one. What is the elevation like? What made you want to do an Ultra as your first race?

Wow, you did great and made a real race of your first ultra, congrats on a top five on your first one that is good going. Seems like you guys are a lot more relaxed around COVID than other here in the UK / Europe, I had to double take the date. We have staggered starts all the aid station folks have masks and surgical gloves and runners need to wear a buff over the face when near others.

Thank you for the comment Luke. We're lucky here in the South of Australia to have been able to run, we have had pretty much all of our races in 2020 cancelled, in this state we got on top of it early whereas some of the other states here in Australia struggled a bit more so they have/had tighter restrictions. It's still slow going here, even without any community transmissions we're still very careful to relax too many restrictions. Wave starts will be implemented in the next race I'm running later next month, but we don't need to wear masks or gloves, but we do need to keep our distance from each other. Thanks for the comment, take care, and hopefully things get better for you guys soon

Very motivational mate, need to get my first ultra under the belt .. this has spurred me on 👍🏻
@itsfortheloveofrunning3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rich, I honestly think this was absolutely the perfect ultra to start with, obviously longer than a marathon which you are used to, but not a absolutely bonkers distance either. I think come October I might go do an 'easy, social' ultra distance run to mark a year since my first.
@RichPressAus3 жыл бұрын
@@itsfortheloveofrunning yeah sounds perfect, my mate did an ultra 100 in the Blue Mountains which sounds epic and tortious at the same time, but a 60 like this is much more appealing initially to test the distance, body and mind 👍🏻

@@RichPressAus Id imagine an ultra in the blue mountains would have some insane elevation!?
bravo man.... Huge respect from India 🇮🇳 pls make more videos like this 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

Not since this one that was in Oct 2020, Was almost going to do the same one this year but sadly, the logistics doesn't make it possible as I'll be away for work
