I was born in USA but my mother and my extended family are from Finland. My mom moved us to Finland at about 2 years old and I grew up there until I was about 7 . Then we moved back to the USA. I became bilingual due to being at the age of learning language. And my mom still continued to speak Finnish to us in the USA and continued Finnish customs and cooking. Which I am glad she did. So I see a lot of myself in Emily. It's an amazing thing to have a bilingual and multicultural heritage. ❤

You know sometimes I think that we do so much plans but we judge ourselves too much trying to be perfect but the simple and usual is the best! that's your daily life and I loved, its so natural and its a mommy day you know? i can just about remember being Emily's age! if in doubt, arts and crafts tended to keep me busy during holidays so maybe that will help keep her entertained. hope you and your husband have speedy recovery from the cold!
