I love your positivity and the grace you give yourself. I hope to have this same mindset going into my first rotations. Love your videos! Exciting to see which rotation you like the best

Thank you so much! You have to be kind to yourself when you’re a student. There’s no way you can learn the entirety of one specialty within the 4-6 weeks you’re there! I appreciate you following along on my journey! 😊

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I am currently in my undergrad to be a PA, and this makes me feel so much excitement but also so much at ease! I genuinely appreciate the honesty/realness as well! ❤️

Hi! I just started PA school and am already freaking out about ER rotations lol. Any advice you have for students still in their didactic year on how I can prepare? Thanks!
@AubrieJones3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Haha you have plenty of time before you need to freak out (even then, you don’t need to freak out!). Honestly, just really focus on the material you’re learning during didactic, try to actually understand it and not just memorize it and take all of your skills days seriously and practice them with the mindset that you’ll need to know this info really well very soon on real patients!

Like they said, apply early to schools that are on rolling admissions since they’re first come, first serve. I would get started by writing your experience descriptions and whatnot early so that you’re ready to just copy and paste them. I would also start your personal statement ASAP since that can take a while! And create your list of LOR writers!

Can you give a example of the questions you asked that you felt was rambling and not “in depth”

And why do you wear your Apple Watch upside down? Genuinely curious to see if it’s a beneficial way of wearing!
@AubrieJones3 жыл бұрын
Haha someone asked me this on my Instagram too 😅 I just found that if I wear it the right way up, it hits on things and touches patients more so I just flip it around!

Hmmm I would say like me asking about like stomach pain or bowel movement changes in a kid complaining of ear pain. Like in my head I was trying to think of viral causes/see if he has any other symptoms that could be from a virus but in emergency med the patient interviews are typically much shorter and you gotta push through them a bit 😅
