Thailand is actually the worse place to learn muay thai as an adult total beginner. Its mainly due to language barrier

Good luck guy, rompo gym is more for experiment fighters ! You should choose a farangs gym to start

Found that out after starting lol lots of foreigners there but most were intermediate-high level. The language barrier can also make it more challenging to learn or ask questions if you are new.

Thank you for sharing. Im 50 years old and have been learning MT for 3 months. But i only have 5-6 classes per month. Do you have any suggestions in training few days in bkk?
@T6travels3 ай бұрын
Thank you for checking out the video! I would say when arriving to bkk go and do a trial class and see which fits you best. Some gyms are more advanced than others and it would depend on your skill level. Since you’re a beginner like me, a bigger farrang gym is probably a better idea to start out. More English speakers and easier for beginners! The gym in this video was mostly all Thai or Russian speakers which was challenging.

Good work bro. To get better rotation on that leg is to make sure you are on you toes. Makes it much easier to pivot

Your technique is very bad, you should have spent more time in your country training before going to Thailand.

I definitely agree with you on technique, I wanted to show exactly what it’s like from a beginner perspective and half the fun was going there not knowing what to expect!

@@T6travelsyeah he’s right, you need to find a real coach who can break in good habits and make it make sense to you on all levels. Do it before you start to develop bad habits. The kid who was next to you in the last part of the video on the pads should be a reference point he has solid technique strength and power weight transfer and balance. Trust me

He should have trained in his home country, if he wanted to save himself some quality time and money. Being a complete beginner, you are not going to understand the difference between US style training and Thailand. It's pretty much the same for any beginner, you are not going to learn quicker in Thailand OR better. But who knows maybe he never would have had the opportunity to go to Thailand ever again, and if he had fun with that goal in mind, then it was a succes.
