I am just like Natasha with the notebook full of questions, ideas and business plan before even actually starting anything. And the love for learning more about a topic you are passionate about.

Wonderful podcast, I can't really put into words how helpful and encouraging this is. There is so much to take away from this podcast and it has given me a new set of objectives to work on to make a success out of my own path to becoming an IFA/FA. On a side note something that hit me quite hard is when you were talking about recruiters having the mindset of "if you are not good enough for us we are not going to help you". I have experienced that in my earlier years and was literally told "Don't call us we will call you" in a sarcastic and patronising tone in an early interaction with recruitment agencies in the early 00's. Thankfully now I am established in my current career I have people jumping on trains and taking me out for coffees seeing if they can help recruit people into my team and even if I would be interested in moving on. However the work you are doing to bridge that gap and help people realise their own potential and also help recruiters realise that people are brilliant and with a bit of support and guidance they can achieve great things! You are really doing great things with the FP and Recruit UK brand!

@@thefinancialplannerlifepodcast You are very welcome Sam. I currently work in Higher education as an IT manager and I am right at the start of my journey. I am about 3 weeks into my study of R01 and just using my time to find great resources and sources of information and your podcast and the academy have really been massive in helping me to focus on the right areas.

Incredibly inspiring interview that describes my situation to a tee! Regarding the United States, do you have any academy resources suitable for the US citizen? Thank you so much for your valuable content!

Thanks Sam and Natasha. I found this very helpful, as I am currently trying to decide on the best training option (SJP/Quilter etc). Well done Sam and all at FPL for the informative (and entertaining) content☺

I'm considering going the academy route but not sure about the latest SJP negative media and drop in the investment market. Interested in knowing people's opinion and if that is impacting their business if linked to SJP.

Yes, you might say that but More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire without any investment. Retirement becomes truly fulfilling when you possess two essential elements: financial resources and a meaningful purpose in life. Make prudent investment choices to secure good returns and ensure a comfortable retirement and that is where Cynthia Mcclure Alexander will be useful.
