Hi everyone, it's been a while 🙃 This is my vlog from last year, 2021, that I never got around to posting! Without further ado, hope you enjoy :)

I also realised the way I describe how the halls toaster works is exactly the same as for any other toaster 🤦‍♀️ I meant that the bread rolls along in the toaster so you can keep adding more bread in! Then the bread slides out toasted :) 제가 한국어 자막을 이렇게 업로드 해보는게 처음이라 타이밍이랑 이것저것 좀 미숙하지만 다음엔 더 신경써서 올리겠습니다~^^

@@jimintv5775 Agreed 😊 Regarding essay writing, I hope UOA allows American spelling tho as it's always been my personal preference solely due to the spelling being much simpler like Simplified Mandarin, right ?

@@Aquila-048 i really don’t think anyone would mark you down for it, although it would depend on who the marker is. But I would say stick to NZ/British English if possible? Just because they might be a tiny bit thrown off by the American spelling? But yea don’t think they can fault you for it!

Hi! Do all students at Auckland uni get individual rooms? Or can you choose? I've heard that your grades matter for the dorm placements but are grades rlly important? cuz I'm an international student and I'm not sure how my grades will count but I really want a private room... how competitive is it to get a private room?

I’m assuming you mean large rooms with en suites because everyone gets their own private room. Large rooms usually go to people who will need them, special needs, disabilities etc. if there’s any left over I’m assuming it’ll just go to whoever applied first. grades matter for waiparuru more than any other hall. So it would be good to have the equalivalent of a NCEA level 2 merit endorsement in your country. Which shouldn’t be too hard. And maybe good references (not sure the procedure for international student references)

Hi, I’m so sorry I haven’t been active much on youtube lately and I’ve just seen this! For first year dorms you do get your own private rooms! There are some larger rooms but these go to the RA’s (resident advisors) and those with special needs. Those with scholarships get first choice for the dorm buildings (I’m not exactly sure how this would work for international students, sorry!) and I believe grades and order of application would come next. Hope this helped :)

바이오매드 1학년 어렵나요?? 특히 mmi 인터뷰에서 많이 떨어진다고 들어서염 ㅠㅠ 공부하는 기준이 많은가요

@@tootypooty 바이오메드는 컨텐츠가 어려운건 아니에요 어떤건 고등학교에서 배웠던거 다시 나오기도하는데 공부하는 양이 많아서 힘들어요ㅠ 본인 시간관리가 중요하고 조금이라도 뒤떨어지면 더 힘들어져요ㅠㅠ 과마다 (pharmacy, optometry, medical imaging, medicine) 인터뷰는 일단 성적을 봐서 offer가 들어와요 그 기준은 매년 조금씩 달라요 그 다음에 인터뷰를 보는데 과마다 인터뷰를 보는 비율이 달라요 예를 들어 gpa 몇프로, 인터뷰 몇프로.. 그래서 gpa가 많이 높으면 인터뷰의 부담은 조금 덜 하겠죠 그래도 인터뷰가 중요한건 사실이고 연습도 많이 필요해요 더 궁금하신게 있으시면 물어보세요!! 공부 화이팅입니다!!

@ 아ㅏ 네네 좋은 정보 감사합니당! 근데 바이오메드가 충분히 아무나 공부 많이하면 되는건가욤 아님 진짜 공부 잘하는 애들만 할수있는 건가요? 제가 해보고는 싶은데 공부를 엄청 잘하는게 아니여서… 1년 남았는데 지금이라도 바이오메드 미리 공부하는게 좋은가요? 특히 제가 physics lvl2,3 를 선택을 안했어서… 인터뷰에서 많이 떨어진다구 들었는데 말을 엄청 잘해야는건가요 아님 연습으로 아무나 잘할수있나욤? 감사합니당ㅇ

@@tootypooty 음 제 생각에는 둘 다 필요한것같아요 어느정도 공부도 잘 하고 많이 꾸준히 어떻게 공부를 해야하는지 알기도 해야하고요 학생들이 많이 힘들어했던게 갑자기 많은 양의 공부를 어떻게 소화를 해야하는지여서 자기만의 공부하는 스케줄이나 방식이 있으면 많이 도움이 될것같아요! 바이오메드엔 physics 코스가 들어있어서 고등학교 때 하면 물론 도움이 되지만 안해도 잘 하는 사람들 많이 봤으니까 필수는 아니라고 생각해요! 그리고 바이오메드는 예습은 별로 도움이 안된다고 생각합니다.. 어차피 많은 양이 닥칠테고 그 때 가면 까먹고.. 인터뷰에서 가장 중요하게 보는건 인성이랑 마인드가 오픈되어있는지 그리고 다양한 사람들을 어떻게 존중하고 어떻게 대하는지라고 생각해요 그래서 그런 포인트들을 진심으로 전달할 수 있으면 충분히 잘 할 수 있습니다 제 생각에 연습은 제한시간안에 빨리 답을 생각해내서 어떻게 답을 꾸려나갈건지, 이런것들이 익숙해질 수 있도록 연습하는거고 말을 잘 하는건 연습으로 좋아지기엔 한계가 있다고 봐요.. 그래서 그냥 본인이 가지고 있는 능력으로 내가 이 문제의 대해 얼마나 진심이고 이 스토리가 왜 나한테 와닿았는지를 표현만 잘 하면 된다고 생각합니당

@ 오오 그렇군요… 대단하세욤 😅😅😭😭 그럼 혹시 바이오메드 first year를 했는데, optom이나 pharm같은 과에서 offer를 안받으면 계속 바이오메드 degree를 진행해야하는건가요? Biomed degree는 딱히 할께없다고 들어서.. First year 마치고 나서 넘 어려우면 간호학과로 바꿀수도 있나요? 근데 간호학과로 바꿔도 인터뷰는 꼭 해야한다고 들어서요.. 근데 간호학과 할려면 아예 처음부터 간호학과를 시작하는게 난가요? 학비랑 공부한 내용을 따지면요

@@tootypooty 만약에 원하는 과에서 offer가 안오면 보통 biomed를 끝내요.. 그렇게 3년해서 다시 그 과들을 신청하거나 바이오메드 마스터를 해요 말하셨듯이 바메 하나론 취직하기가 어려워서.. 바메 끝나고 간호학과로 갈 수 있죵 하지만 만약에 본인이 원하는 커리어가 그 쪽이라면 바로 가는게 낫다고 생각하긴해요.. 말하신대로 돈이랑 시간이 좀 아까워지니까.. 하지만 일단 뭐 할지 모르는 학생들이 바메 듣는 경우가 많아요 그렇게 베이스를 깔아놓고 다음 진로를 정하는거죠 어차피 뭘 하던 메디컬쪽이라면 바메가 좋은 기본기는 될테니까요!

Hi there! In all honesty I don't have any knowledge around the two courses you mentioned unfortunately :(( I have tried to do some research but really came up short, I sadly have no information to pass onto you I'm so sorry :((( I hope you're able to find some guidance on this! I recommend talking to any counsellor or supervisors that may have some inside knowledge if you're still after some help!
