This is why I got the Odin 2. Slowly setting up each console as I want to play it. And playing a little bit of everything. But the desire to get a tiny thing like Miuu or Abernic 35xx slowly creeps up at me. Maybe… maybe…

Really dug your format! The first one I bought is an RP3+ about a year ago now and it's genuinely one of the best little devices I've ever ordered for so many reasons. The emulation is pretty great, it's a very good remote play device as someone who still plays plenty of Playstation 5 (I played about 1000+ hours of Final Fantasy 14, and multiple hundreds of Monster Hunter Rise and World through remote play on this thing. It's amazing) It even streams PC through Moonlight pretty smoothly. Playing Final Fantasy 11 for the first time in 2023 through this was worth the initial setup. RetroAchievements is also a very cool incentive to replay older titles and the support for it is really great to see. Seeing the improvements and other devices is always nice though and it has me seriously considering a RP4P in the near future. That said, a RP3+ is more than enough as it is and I couldn't recommend it more to those looking to try getting into these kinds of devices. I also gotta echo the advice to take your time setting it up. It's worth it to have a seamless experience later.

I think my "first" retro hand held was the PSP. While it wasn't made with retro emulation in mind (PSX isn't emulated - they're both MIPS architectures), i found out about homebrew and that I could play GBA on it. Opened my world to emulation, and to games I never had access to before. My first dedicated retro handheld is the 4 Pro. Been playing PSP on it and feeling like a kid again.

My first retro handheld was a miyoo mini + that I bought because I got impatient waiting for my rp4 pro. That being said I have been emulating on the PC for over a decade.

My first retro handheld was Powkiddy Q90 in 2017. Immediately shelved it after playing with it for a bit. Recently flashed Miyoo CFW, and it sparked my interest back on the retro handheld. Decided to bought the retroid pocket 4 pro, and I'm thinking on getting a new handheld, which I shouldn't 😂😂😂

Weird but my first Emulation Handheld was my PSP-2000 wich to this day has my favourite ergonomics but sadly it's battery life get's worse and worse for longer gaming sessions and it's hard to find good battery for the console. This is the reason why I bought the RG35XX-H because the first Retro Game Handheld I saw was about the RG351P and fell in love with it's simple designe BUT the screen was a deal breaker for me because I wanted a 4:3 device for NES, Arcade snd PS1 games but Anbernic just did the more expensive metal shells for years wich I dont like. The the RG35XX-H happened and it's a joy to play on it. And it can do simple PSP JRPG's wich is a big Win for me. I already played all the bigger games like Gid of War on my PSP years ago. Won't buy another device because of my Switch but many things can happen in one year only. Greetings from Hungary!

@@MGPDrawGames I haven’t purchased/reviewed the 2S. But from the specs and reviews I’ve seen on it, the 4 pro is going to outperform by a long shot in terms of emulation. But if you aren’t planning on playing GameCube and above, the 2s is beloved by many and has a really cool form factor in my opinion.

If you leave the bluetooth and wifi off on a rg35xx H, you would enjoy most of the rg351p’s charm with a bump in the processor. I use to not care about WiFi but scraping my roms with a dongle gets old quick.

Just some friendly advice, don't bother reviewing games. There are thousands of channels reviewing games and by comparison only a couple dozen reviewing retro handhelds. Give it a try if you want, but don't be surprised when those videos don't get views.

Perhaps reviewing translations and hacks would be better as no one is doing that on these channels and the two go hand in hand
