put a sanding pad on the broken one for detail sanding duty

That’s actually sounds like a great idea I’ll give that a shot!

Good thing they have a warranty

Looks like the head is moving up and down. Looks like the anti vibration system is worn out and now is loose? I would open it up

I'm sure ya just have to tighten something up on the old flex they're durable tools and the warranty is excellent!!

I have the m12 fuel MT. Just got into the FLEX line (I'm on several platforms). Looking everywhere for no BS answers on things like vibration dampen/isolation and this tool's lifespan...that being said I have alot of standard blades and flex decided to go starlock like makita :( If I were FLEX I would've wanted to open your tool and see how it failed before sending out a new wave

If it's so amazing it would still be working. My cheap tools are still working. LMAO 🤣

ROFL, I can buy a HART tool and leave it in my garage and it will last forever. Everything will break eventually if used. Thing is lifetime warranty I get another tool free of charge. The power is unmatched/cutting speed is insane. I never said in the review it’s indestructible.

The same thing has happened to my Milwaukee OMT 3 times except the blade is also about 5 degrees off center. They fixed the same one twice then replaced it and the same thing end up happening within a month. I've just given up on it. At least Flex's warranty seems great. With Milwaukee I had to send it into the service center and wait a couple weeks every time.

Oh man yah Flex’s warranty is why I bought into the platform to begin with. That’s interesting you had the same problem, I don’t understand what causes it. Did they tell you anything about it when they worked on yours?

I know a couple of people who got Milwaukee’s with the blade mount being installed the wrong way at the factory. It’s just my opinion but the “multi tool” situation is like biscuit joiners. Lamello might be an overpriced Metabo grinder coupled with a nice fence, but it doesn’t suck like every other biscuit joiner (Elu came close). Likewise, when Fein’s patents ran out, everyone was quick to market with horrible wannabe multimaster clones that cost the same price. Home Depot’s margins are more important than providing a good tool. I have the Hilti version of the Flex and it’s the first time I’ve used a Multimaster/Supercut copy that can sit with the original.

Been running for two years mine still going strong but they all break eventually

2 bricks that are incredibly bulky and seem like crap compared to Milwaukee fuel. Sorry you’re having issues. Team red for the win, I’ll take the m12 fuel over those lol, I’ll take the m18 fuel in auto mode over any multi tool.

I have the Hilti version and it’s better than all of the Fein models I’ve owned. Granted I don’t have the newest ampshare that came out just afterward.

Dude chill, I have the m12 fuel too and it's great but Brick? it's 2.8 lbs while the m12 is 2.3 lol and I'm sure between the stronger motor and vibration dampening people may understand the half a pound extra

Some people don't know how to use the tool. They force the tool through the word. When you're supposed to let the tool do the work. I'm not saying that's what you are doing. That's just what some people do

The Flex has more power than the newest Supercut (MM700). It ain’t the old days. Throw some Bosch or Fein carbide blades on there and it will laugh at all of the things we “shouldn’t” do.
@Kilroy726 ай бұрын
Seems like you got a dud. You can't beat Flex's lifetime warranty.
@HonorableConstructionLLC6 ай бұрын
Exactly that warranty is what bought me in! Anything will break eventually but free replacements is hard to beat!
@justiceforall28876 ай бұрын
did you swope out the blade with a new blade on the old flex
@HonorableConstructionLLC6 ай бұрын
Yah I tried swapping the blades and different style blades, all worked perfect on the new one but had the same issue on the old one. Thanks for watching!
@robertrada47833 ай бұрын
The starlock mounting mechanism is bodged. Nothing you can do but fix the tool (or replace it).

ROFL you’re ignorant in your comments. It did and does work out lol I get all replacement tools for free? Every time I’ve seen a dewalt burn out they have to pay out of pocket to get another one. Break any other brand tools you’re paying for another one each time.
@gungnir7226 ай бұрын
open it up and fix it, probably just a bad bearing in the head or something
@HonorableConstructionLLC6 ай бұрын
They actually called me about two weeks ago and asked if I still had it and they requested I send it back, so I no longer have it. I assume they are wanting to investigate the issue. Thanks for watching!

@@HonorableConstructionLLC I just commented and it included why flex didn't look into what failed, glad to hear they wanted to make sure it wasn't an ongoing issue that could be solved before things ship out
