I use the gci kitchen but I went for the Ironman table which has adjustable legs so low for drinks by the fire or normal sitting for dinners.

That gci is my go to camp kitchen. The sturdiness, design, simplicity of assembly are all key factors to me. There is a coleman lantern stand that I secure to one side with zip ties to give myself a lantern hanger. I don’t know if the larger model that comes with the lantern hanger would be for me. I like the slim fold one. The slim fold will hold either size of the coleman suitcase two burner stoves.

Very cool. These slim fold tables are great.

You fold the top of table and then squeeze the tops together and then push the legs in. You don’t have to press the buttons with you hands.

Is there any plastic bits under the top of the gsi compact camp 20?
@GoTogetherGoFar4 жыл бұрын
Sorry Neil, I'm not 100% sure what you mean. There are a few little notches that the table top fits into to help secure it. Is that the question? I'll happily post some detailed pics on my blog if you think it will help answer your question.
@neiloppa26204 жыл бұрын
@@GoTogetherGoFar yeah that's what I meant. For example the trekology tables have plastic pieces that the aluminum crossbars snap into so I was curious if this one has it also. I'm looking to use a portable table with a high heat application and am worried about plastic getting melted if it's too close to the top of the table surface.
@GoTogetherGoFar4 жыл бұрын
Hey, sorry Neil. I just saw this. i did't mean to ignore you. Yes they do seem to have little plastic bits. I thin it would be okay for something hot, but maybe with pot holder or something under it. I'd generally be comfortable with a hot pot or pan, with a thick towel or potholder. If your application is super high heat, or requires very stable table, this may not be the best. The bigger table is pretty stable, but I wouldn't trust something really hot on the smaller one. Mainly because I have 6 year old running around. If you don;t have that issue, it might be okay.

@@GoTogetherGoFar stability is an issue for me. Is the larger one more stable than the smaller one? I thought the leg tube sizes were the same on both making the smaller one more stable.
@GoTogetherGoFar4 жыл бұрын
That larger one is much more stable. The leg tubes themselves are the same size but they are wider apart on the larger table.

That alloy folding stuff is to shaky.... .. on the plus side it is verry light weight tho 👌
@GoTogetherGoFar3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it can be sometimes. Don't let someone put a normal wine glass on it. They can hold a shocking amount of weight though. I picked up a similar style from Coleman with a wider base that is much more stable.
