Sweet truck bro! I just bought one yesterday. It’s already decked out pretty well so I’m glad I don’t have to spend too much later on lol. Any tips on maintenance on this truck? What to look out for? How to prevent problems? Already ordered the oil catch can you have.

Congrats! Oil change every 3k miles. Keep an ear out for the iwe’s. Spark plugs every 50-60k (I recommend sooner). That’s about it!

Very nice, our trucks are almost identical.. mine is race red. I don’t have the Morimoto 3rd brake light yet, I bought an open box which was a mistake.. wrong wiring harness. No interior mods yet but I’m planning on some modest yet tasteful ideas.

How do you put the front and back Ford emblems on? Do you have a video for that?
I have an 18 Raptor and am I the only one that likes the OEM big antennas? IDK I feel like they will work the best and it just looks better. Old school I guess and I feel like you should have some old school in your life. To each is their own I get it that's why I am asking. Also just from what you spent on this thing should you have just found a nice used gen 2 Raptor? Don't get me wrong this truck is awesome and it is fun to mod them.
@owenm70854 ай бұрын
I also prefer the OEM antenna. The long antenna helps out a lot when parking in some garages with low clearance. Has saved me a few times by serving as a "feeler."

I’ve spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out the phone mount. You mentioned both offroam and magsafe, which appear to be two different brands. The link you posted takes me to an offroam mount but it isn’t magnetic or charging, and none of the ones I’ve found have the short flat power supply cable you have with yours. Help?

It would be nice if you could find an XLT Sport interior. Mine is the XLT sport package and it gets rid of all that beige for full black plus the console shifter instead of the column. I have the redrock grille in matte black and the morimoto headlights really tie in the yellow amber lights, that is definitely on my list of things to do. I would also highly suggest removing the spacers in the front and increasing the ride height with he snap rings on the struts. All you are doing is limiting the travel on your front end with the spacers. I went from stock with spacers to bilstein 6112's up front, 5160's in the back and Hellwig sway bars all around. The improvement in handling was shocking, pun intended. The rear sway bar really smoothed out the back end as the sway bar transfers impacts to both shocks instead of loading up just the one side. The on street feel is now like a mustang and the off road feel cannot be compared to anything out there. I like those black rhino side steps as well, might have to do that as I have black rhino garrison beadlocks in black. I was also unaware that you can just buy the sync 3 as an upgrade kit. Will that work for trucks with the small screens and surround buttons our do you need to have a version of sync already installed?
@Autofreakgarage Жыл бұрын
The sync kit works for both the smaller and larger screen. It’s a worthy upgrade for sure.

The phone mount link doesn’t seem to be the same one in the video? Did you just add a mag safe mount to the offroam mount?

I love the truck man! One question, Where are your subs located?
Awesome video! Quick question. Can I install the oil catch can for a F150 3.0 diesel n does that void warranty?
@Autofreakgarage8 ай бұрын
This is only for the 2.7/3.5 eco and 5.0’s. Nothing technically, “voids” a warranty, but any modification that’s not OEM that could have caused the issue you are at the dealer for gives the ability for them to deny the warranty claim.

Have you experienced any ford rust issues while up north? Do you do any sort of rust proofing with krown or other brand to pervert frame rot. I have a 13 mk3 Focus ST and definitely have experienced how prone to rust this platform is being in Canada. Lucky my st had been coated by krown earlier in its life and still is so it keeps the rust at bay however its a oiley mess. I still love my st though, ford did a great job and had been very reliable. Your truck looks great, keep up the great videos.
@Autofreakgarage Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Just some surface rusting on the frame but I did a quick scuff and used a quick spray coating to keep it at bay. Holding up well over the 2 years so far.

How do the Grapplers handle in the snow?

Handle snow fine. Pretty impressed with them. Slick roads on the other hand is tough, but that’s with any kind of tire like this.
