I have to agree with you on the assist rule. The intended target is far too subjective. Getting the ball into the box in order to create a goal scoring opportunity is surely the main aim. Personally I'm not fussed about Mbeumo not getting the assist, but whoever came up with the rule must have thought they could read a players mind, which of course makes little sense.

Keeping Mbeumo could be a stroke a genius. The way Villa played in defense against Chelsea was horrendous.

He’s not getting goal scoring opportunities. Everything is going through the other flank or centrally for wissa. Since wissa has been back mbuemos data has been shocking. Still a cracking player but with the fixtures coming up & his performances in a fpl sense it’s been very poor.
