Welcome to Korea! For your information, Buon is one of the most deprived areas in Korea. But I think it could be a chance to know more about Korea. Most Koreans are shy and have little experience talking to foreigners in English in the countryside, so they will hesitate to talk to you first. But once you talk to them first and get close to them, you will know the warm hearts of Koreans. You may feel that the behaviour of some older people in the countryside is inconsiderate and a bit abrupt. But in reality they are warm-hearted, only poor at expressing it because they grew up in an environment where they don't express their feelings. I'm telling you this because I'm worried that you might get hurt in the countryside. I like the way you speak calm tone. I wish I could see more of your videos. Have a good time here in Korea. Wow , this EPIK apartment is way bigger than the ones they provide on the urban areas. Truly amazing to have such space for yourself.

Rural placements generally get larger accommodations. I saw one rural placement that got a whole house

Thank you for this video. I thought it was informative and well-done :) My son is going to teach this Spring and I was looking for apartment tours from rural areas because he likes more rural areas and is asking for Jeollanamdo. I hope you are finding (found?) your time there okay. I agree with the poster who said Koreans are usually kindhearted but we can be quite stiff and shy. (Well, many people think I am aloof and conceited but it is mostly pure terror, lol) But you have a calm and pleasant demeanor and a nice smile.

@@southernabroader9217 Hello I am a 27 year old male from the U.S. thinking of teaching abroad through the EPIK program in S.K. I was wondering If you are currently still doing it and what your experience has been like? Also do you think it could enhance one's resume for jobs back in the U.S. just some thought on this I have gotten mixed responses thank you

I'm surprised that they put you in the sticks. You're young, pretty, and white. I assumed that you'd be placed in Seoul or Gyeonggi-do. I'm not trying to make jokes, but I've seen enough of these EPIK apartment tours to know that they usually put older, or unattractive, or non-white people in the countryside. Plus, I lived in Korea for about four years, twelve years ago. This video looks about two years old. I hope that you're rockin' the countryside, or you got the hell out of Dodge.
