I hope XVI actually does continue in a way that Magic can exist without destroying the whole world. I really liked how the characters react to this world and come to the opposite conclusion that past game protagonists do in trying to destroy the crystals and rid the world of magic rather than protect them and/or return them to light. I think it may be that this game takes place in an interesting world where those concepts are not inhere evil but these characters just wish to be free of them and live on their own terms.

man, I am pleasantly surprised with all the features they added. Between the some of the QoL, the 2 sets of abilities, AND the bloody palace was the cherry on top. What a send off for the game. Thanks for the review DNC and all of the content for 16 as a whole.

Not gonna lie, the onlyyyy drawback I have is that the Kairos gate isint either A-longer or B- randomized. Other than that this really does make FF16 one of the more complete FF games we’ve gotten in terms of overall story, quality, and quantity.

very liked bosses in dlc and dlc on general. i didnt have problem with dps check, but got stuck on the next phase where u need to dodge huge aoe circle and tornado

I would have liked the game to have remain grounded with Barnabas as the main villain. I'm still very disappointed we didn't get an eikon fight with Odin. My thoughts are that it could have started as an Eikon fight and devolved into the 1v1 sword fight to have the best of both worlds.

I like most of the new powers - but the DPS check in the middle of the Leviathan fight on hard mode at max level took me like 10+ attempts. Poorly designed fight in terms of the tsunami part - you have maybe 10 seconds of clearance in the phase where you have to break his shell so he doesn't tsunami. If you get hit once or dont make back to him when he pushes you back fast enough - your attempt is lost. There is nothign wrong with difficult content but sudden verticle difficulty spikes like that only pissed me off. - points ofr that. 7/10. It didnt do much for me

Not even half way through my rise of ronin play through to get back into ff16. Finished ff16, started a second save in ff mode, but finished the first dlc on my original save (ff mode was a bit much lol). Already dled the new dlc. I’m gonna have to relearn the game mechanics. Is the max character level higher with the new dlc? Or still capped?

To start The Rising Tide DLC in FF16, you’ll need to first unlock Origin as a destination on the world map and complete the “Priceless” side quest

it's a shame that the DLC wasn't in the base game, especially seeing how much content Rebirth got and that this DLC was ready just a few months after XVI's release. I hate it when they intentionally leave out stuff to sell it to us as DLC. I'm not gonna support this tactic, just like I didn't support the DLC for XV, KH3, nor Remake.

Leviathan missing from the main game wasn’t intentional. in recent interviews, It was revealed that Leviathan was not added to the game due to the budget and time since most of the budget went to the Bahamut fight and the time it took to develop the game was also affected due to Covid.

This was my first ever Final Fantasy game and I’m actually glad that it was able to end on its own merit and without the constant need to live up to certain things it was its own game. It was its own story and I truly am glad about it. It’s sad that the game ends. Glad that I was able to play this game and allow it to be my first final fantasy game. So thank you Final Fantasy for being my Final Fantasy.

@@OvOSB_24 You are probably unable to feel when a game is poorly optimized then. It drops/stutters in the open world and resolution is changing to 720p in combat to maintain 60 fps. Thats not good if you compare to other AAA PS5 exklusives (Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarök for example)
