As someone who has also been writing most of my life, I am most impressed that you set your sights (at such a young age!) not just on writing one book, but on writing ten books in ten years, with the express goal of becoming a better writer. You had both humility and determination, a rare combo.

We, have known you for a lot a lot of years. And while I’ve always felt that I was pretty ambitious and did a lot of things. You’ve always taken it up another notch by moving to Paris under the visa and taking a chance. To show us the times they weren’t glamorous, but yet you found a way to overcome them gives us inspiration. I love your books that you have written. I was able to get one of the sci-fi books and your life book. Keep doing what you do best, we miss you. Hope to see you soon in Paris.

Thank you for sharing your hopes, dreams and action plan with us! This sounds like a very exciting path for you and I look forward to seeing where you take it. What genre would you say the bulk of your writing is? Looked kind of science fiction to me…

That's the bulk of it, yes!

Since you have a decent sized following have you ever thought of "crowdfunding" in the way that some comicbooks are crowdfunded which is basically just pre-ordering? You can do stretch goals and add perks like maybe a Cooper bookmark or something. You would have to either fullfill it yourself or hire a company but it is an option worth thinking about.

I guess, my worry (if I were a writer) would be retirement. How do you follow this road and make sure that you pay into some sort of retirement consistently so you don’t end up impoverished when you can no longer work at anything. That happens to most people. Most people cannot work right up until the last day of their life.

The story is the most important, if the writing is good it will make everything else easier. 🤓

Lots of nice cinemaphotagraphy in this video, as usual. Are you going to have an Ebook version of this new project? I published an Ebook that is interactive with music and other things incorporated in the book. There also is a print version but I encourage people to go for the Kindle version because you can just click on to the KZbins that are involved. If there is a song or other music or film involved with your story you might want to incorporate this sort of interaction. Hollywood is dying and I watch movies on KZbin, which is offered as a regular streaming service on my TV, so I think that it's good for you to consider that as an outlet. Best of luck with this project. It sounds exciting and I'll be following your progress with great interest.
@jenniferromonoyske3655Ай бұрын
Maybe Jay you can teach French or cinematography as well on you tube as you these projects. Funding the art making is right as someone said . I need help with both, and I know I’m not the only one! lol (I’m a still photographer) I admire all your work also how you help us Americans come to there. Now my husband is hooked on Paris, because he found a cycling community. lol

It looks like you can't walk down the stairs from the plaza (Trocadero) to the Eiffel Tower anymore. How sad. I have a picture of my friend and I in 2007, our first Paris trip together, with the Eiffel Tower behind us and then we walked down the steps and under the Tower on our way to find lunch. It's too bad it has to be that way now.
@JaySwansonАй бұрын
They're still cleaning up from the olympics, those stairs should open again at some point! The blockage around the base of the Eiffel, however, is permenant :(
