I feel you with the being shocked and happy with maths!!! like you I've struggled with maths since I was in primary school, and when they put me down to do higher tier I was so confused haha, but I somehow came out with a 6 when I was just hoping to pass. IM SO HAPPY!!!!

congrats!!! history - 8 (SO happy, im taking the A level!!) eng lang - 7 eng lit - 6 (thought i would get at least a 7 i studied all those poems 😭) bio - 6 maths - 6 (SO HAPPY thought i would get 4) physics - 6 (so happy my teacher was cr*p thought i would fail tbh) chem - 5 (a bit unhappy but chem is my least fave subject and i never have to do it again 🎉)

@@danmkhvsome good unis don’t care about gcse results it’s mostly in jobs they ask and for a uni like UCL law for example I would only need a 6 in maths and English language but mostly look at a levels and whatever extra curriculum you do

@@itzniamhOGYear 11 here who just finished their last GCSE a week ago. Don’t get too upset about your mock results! They are practice, and if any it’s good if you do badly, cause it will help pinpoint your weaknesses so they don’t trip you up in the real thing. It takes time, and it can be very annoying, but I’m telling you be patience and you’ll get the results you want, even if it’s not as quick as you want. In my first mocks, I got a 7 in chem, 8 in biology, and a 5 in physics, but in my most recent mocks I got all 9s, and physics was actually my best! Same thing with RS! I was stuck on 5/6s and by my most recent mocks I was on 8/9s. And let’s not forget my dreaded enemy Spanish. I was getting Us in my listening and reading, and getting overall 4s/3s, but in my most recent mocks I averaged a 7, and even got a 9 in my writing exam!! It takes time, but don’t give up!!! It’s so worth putting the effort in, even if you start up small, because all that work will build up overtime!! Good luck!! :)))
