Gene Wolfe was an engineer before he was a writer, and he helped design the machine that makes Pringles. True story! (There's also a rumor that he was the inspiration for the Pringles mascot, but I'm not sure how true that is.)

My favorite book by Gene Wolfe is Latro's soldier of the mist. To me, it literally made the greek gods come alive. Btw, a five book series is often called a pentalogy

I always think of 5 books as a Quintet. From R.A Salvatore's The Cleric Quintet! And 4 books as a Cycle. 6 and up, you're on your own!

Is 4 a cycle because there's 4 seasons? Interestingly the 7 Death Gate books call themselves a cycle, but their all about the classical elements (which correspond to seasons). I think it's less to do with a number of books and more a story that seems to cover an age/era/aeon/revolution. It's fair game to call 4 books a quartet (then 6 a sextet. 7 a septet, etc.) - you can also use tetralogy or quadrilogy but seemingly not "quadruplogy" :).

I agree 💯. Book of the New Sun series is the best. When I read them years ago I remember thinking that this was unique! A standout author with unmatched imagination and a great command of prose.

I don't see the individual books making up the The Wizard Knight duology also by Gene Wolfe. So, I don't think your collection is complete. I see the omnibus containing both books in one volume, but there seems to be individual copies of The Knight and The Wizard.
