Brilliant lecture. Its hard to reduce salt intake in our modern way of life. My blood pressure and weight has reduced dramatically since doing so. Thank you for your input.

You can live without any added salt and thrive.

What about the other things salt reduction does (e.g renin, noradrenaline, aldosterone)? What about studies that completely contradict and refute your assertions (Cochrane)? How much does blood pressure actually go up and is this better or worse than the other hormonal effects? What about the end result - comparison of deaths for normal / high / low salt diets which show cutting salt increases death events? Are you actually talking complete rubbish?

The more salt I eat, the better my blood pressure. Explain that! I eat at least three-five grams per day.

@@08saaid9 He's not correct about our ancestors sodium intake, it was actually lower. Studies on modern day hunter gatherer societies like the Yanomami tribe of South America shows they take in less than 100 mg (1/10 of a gram) of sodium a day. The con of the salt producers, and their shills (which are rampant on the internet), runs deep. The number one thing a person can do for their health is to eliminate salt (not the nutrient sodium, nor chloride, that we get from whole unprocessed foods) but the manmade additive salt from our diet. The Yanomami, young & old, have an average BP of 95/63 mmHg...so yea, this guy is very. correct.
