Aww, that's so sad. I get attached to my smaller fish so goodness knows how I'd feel losing something that size. 💙 I've heard lots of horror stories about Pets @ Home so it's lovely to see a branch where their fish seem to be well kept. 😊

I was a bit shocked he went down hill so quickly. I had a good check of the fish first before I bought them, making sure everything was alright with them 👍 but in general the shop is very clean and all the fish look healthy!

How have the cardinal tetras worked out for you? I have a lone Amazon puffer and he had all my cardinal tetras and oto catfish for lunch. The geophagus with the puffers looked like the most entertaining tank ever. Wondering why you didn’t recommend them as tank mates?

The cardinals are doing well! Yeah the Geophagus and puffers went well! The puffers were just the right size to not get eaten by the Geophagus 😂

I may just have the worlds most aggressive and ravenous Amazon puffer😂 Getting a 75 gallon tank cycled for him and would love a bigger tank mate but am a little hesitant because I’m afraid he may be too much of a fin nipper. Probably just stick with amazons only so nobody gets tortured😬 Thanks for the reply and all the helpful videos!

I was speaking to a guy I know in one of the local fish shops and he was saying the Brasiliensis if they don’t eat for whatever reason can suffer from some kind of mineral deficiency which can lead to things like hole in the head etc
