When me and my parents went we kept getting refills on water and pop. So our waiter brought over 3 sprites for me, 3 diet cokes for my mom, and a pitcher of water with a straw for my dad😂

I love this restaurant. We were seated right next to a couple with a young girl and she asked for milk. The waiter came back with a gallon of milk and slammed in on the table. The girl and her parents were laughing their butt off. If you are too sensitive this is not the place for you. There is another restaurant located at the Wilderness Lodge where they bring you about 20+ bottles of catsup if you ask for one. There is never a catsup on the table so you have to ask the waiter. They also throw a few insults (Disney way) every now and then all for good fun.

Love this restaurant. If you don't have a sense of humor then go somewhere else. My mother and I have been going here every year because it reminds her of her childhood and it left a lasting impression on us!

It’s basically a kid-friendly version of Dick’s Last Resort where instead of the waiters pretending to be loud drunk assholes they pretend to be angry parents LOL. I love stuff like this I would have the time of my life there

I went to this restaurant last week, and my experience was nothing like this. For a waitress, we had a sweet little lady with a wonderful, thick NY accent. She didn’t scold my daughter and wife for not finishing all of their food. Instead, she gave me a sticker that said “clean plate club” and told me to wear it proudly. She was so funny.

Cannot imagine a trip to Disney World without eating at this place! A family tradition at a restaurant we’ve always loved!…my dad has had to put his nose against the wall and when our boys were younger they had to go sing “I’m a little teapot” to a little girl across the restaurant 😅so many fun and memorable moments!

Haha! This happened to me when I went there! It was hilarious! I got so embarrassed. They also stuffed red-skinned mash potatoes down my throat. It was as big as the palm of an adults hand. By the way, this was really funny!

My husband wanted to go to this restaurant, but I had reservations and not in an-appointment-for-a-table. After learning of the online reviews following a Google search last night, he started to re-think that decision. A couple of reviewers said that they didn't even want to eat so one group of 13 left before ordering after being excited about being there when they arrived only minutes earlier. Another reviewer was there with a group of 20 said that they did stay for the birthday party they were there to celebrate but and tried to play along with the server in the beginning were so miserable that they just wanted their meal to be over and were relieved when it was so that they could get out of there. That made me sad because they had spent $600 for their food at Prime Time Cafe plus park admission for the birthday of someone beloved by them. That is disgusting! My husband thought that this was just all in good fun, but I am glad that he is re-thinking this because he does have an explosive temper when he feels disrespected. I am the sort of person who doesn't get mad fast but who will quietly take it, even if I am seething, because I have this desire to be the peacemaker whenever people around me aren't getting along. The trouble is that those of us who are the slowest to anger are also the slowest to forgive because our way of cooling off is via a slow leak. My husband looked inside the door of the '50's Prime Time Cafe and said that it looked cute because he is much older than me and actually remembers the 1950's from when he was a little boy. I felt sad for him for my reluctance to go to this place and was planning to make reservations for us because we are new Disney Annual Passholders because he has been through so much with me and my health condition that has put me through the critical care units three times so the least that I can do is put up wit an hour of something I am anxious about for something on his bucket list. Yet I do know what it is like to be played the fool by predatory restaurant workers. The workers at a fast food parlour I was in about a year ago saw my Division of Blind Services cane while I was going to the restroom so their reaction was for one of them to tell me that I was going into the men's room when I didn't believe that to be true, but what if? So I stopped. Another worker yelled that it was the women's room. I kept trying to feel the sign on the door in order to trace the letters to decide for myself which door was which. No one helped me. Maybe other customers thought that it was pretty entertaining to watch them picking on a blind woman, but I wish that I could have had my sight back even for a few minutes while they were having their fun so that I could have poked their eyes out with my cane and then hand it to them and said "How about you show me now?". Now that I have read the comments of people taking their "sense of humor" digs at customers who didn't like what goes on in this cafe, I really wish that Disney World would rename this place to something more honest. I would suggest "Tomfoolery's S & M Club"!

Please don't let Alex G get you down. I am a picky eater (I'm 25) and went here with family in 2011. It was great fun. I didn't eat my greens much and our waitress did get on my case about not getting dessert if I didn't eat it but didn't make me feel super bad about it and didn't force me to eat it. I think the servers know when it's too much, especially with kids. I suggest, if you are thinking of going here, just have them prepared, tell them "hey, they poke fun just as a laugh, they aren't trying to bully you. They just want to have a good time" It's all about the experience. I am going back in October for my birthday :)

Caz W no definitely not the best place to take him. Trust me, they will humiliate your child for being a picky eater, and they will encourage the other customers to do the same to make it even worse. Not only that, the waiters and waitresses will yell at the customers for not eating everything off your plate or eating your vegetables. So yeah, if you can train him to eat his veggies, or eat everything off your plate, then take him, but if he is a picky eater, you can’t train him, then avoid this restaurant like the plague

In the time period the restaurant is set in, it was either eat what you were given or don’t eat at all (as far as I know) Plus I mean it’s not that bad... being in the corner for a few seconds or taking your plates to the kitchen for the server isn’t that bad of a ‘punishment’ for not eating vegetables. It looks fun I kinda wanna go there just because I hate veggies and wanna see what they’ll do

It's an experience if you can't handle it you can skip primetime or let check in person you prefer to watch. Hollywood studios is you becoming part of the show. I have temper but understand a show so I'd totally ham it up at prime time. It's just who I am.

Thanks so much for posting. Although probably historically accurate for a few families. This actor takes it a bit too far by bringing in the group to bully a teen he knows nothing about. How does he know if that teen is emotionally stable and can handle his bullying during her or his Disney vacation? I had booked this restaurant because I liked the scenery of the 50's, wanted to show my kids and it was the only restaurant at Hollywood Studios open for reservations. I just cancelled....
