One of the best fight of the show. It is team work. Sakura can't defeat Ssori alone, and neither can Chiyo. If Sakura didn't volunteer as a puppet, Chiyo would have lost the fight. Neither can win without the other.

Well, I’ll put him at the same level of SPOILER Shikamaru vs Hidan. Because, even if it was shorter, the emotional factor is as great as in this one. I agree on the others, though. Even if Naruto vs Orochimaru was more spectacular, or team 10 + Kakashi + everyone vs Kakuzu had some crazy choreography, or Asuma vs Hidan had the emotional factor on Shikamaru’s side.

11:19 Sasori then first realized his parents were dead. That was his first understanding(via the puppet parallel and metaphor) of what death encompasses. Up until then he had been waiting for them to return, fooled by his grandmother's lies. Not only that, then he realized that he needed to go beyond the limitations of normal puppets/toys in order to "retain"/resurrect his parents.

Yes his grandmother did raise Sasori. But she made one terrible mistake not telling Sasori his parents had died. Maybe he wouldn't have turned out the way he did if she had had the courage to tell Sasori the truth about his parents. To be fare granny chiyo is some what responsible.

Yep. Even if she said it when he was like 15+ or something. One has to be direct with these things when talking to a child. Sasori was not stupid because he was waiting for his parents: he was trusting that Chiyo told him the truth. And that’s the reason that, even after she raised him, he didn’t have any feelings towards her.

I'm fine with Sakura being controlled by Chiyo because the simple explanation of experience makes a lot of sense. Rather than just age, Sakura has never single handedly been in a desperate fight(assuming it didn't happen in the timeskip). We can disregard the experience part for Naruto because he has always been fighting since the start of the show and that he's the mc.

The thing about Chiyo controlling Sakura is that it makes sakura seem like she cant move on her own. Like i literally dont see the point of Chiyo controlling Sakura. You can say that well Chiyo knows him so hes able to dodge all of his moves but theres been multiple fights throughout this series where we've seen ninjas fight each other without knowing exactly what they're opponent is going to do and they'll still figure out their opponent through battle and get the win. Sakura is not always going to have someone there for her who knows the opponent shes fighting. So Chiyo having to put strings in her back just makes her look bad to me for those reasons. Kekashi didnt know a single thing about Zabuza other than hes a legendary swordsman and he will still able to figure the man out throughout the battle because hes a high tier level ninja. This to me makes sakura not seem like a high level tier ninja.

SPOILERS but this further proves my point because after this fight where she has no one to help her during a fight (Like putting strings and her and controlling her) shes rendered useless. For example, during the naruto and orochimaru fight she just stood there took a hit to the face and got knocked out. Shes the only one that got knocked out no one else. That makes her look incredibly bad.

The reason chiyo used Sakura is because the iron sand cannot control her. Yes, it isn’t Sakuras skill, but it’s her body and strength with Chiyos skills and knowledge that lets them win.
